Re: Maximum resolution of a Giant GL-1556 CRT monitor?
Thanks for the help guys. Reason I ask is coz I'm trying to install Ubuntu Linux (tried Breezy Badger and Edgy Eft with same bad results) at work and the installations reach to the third and final reboot, then I see nothing on the screen, but hear hard drive activity. Don't know if the system's gone into a continuous loop, or the monitor can't display the default 1024 x 768. Unfortunately I don't have another monitor to try it on.

Re: Maximum resolution of a Giant GL-1556 CRT monitor?
Well, max resolution is 1024 x 768, prob 60 Hz for this Giant. I was able to borrow an LCD projector, used that instead of the monitor. I found out that the last reboot selects the resolution of 1280 x 960, which can't be read by the monitor, and this causes the monitor to hibernate.
