Re: samsung LA 22A450C1
Can you read the P/N of the SMD PWM IC and the MOSFETs which drive the inverter transformer?
Also check the DC voltage on that connector where the wires go to the logic board, I can see the labeling but cannot read them. We need to find out if the inverter circuit is getting the inverter_on (BL_ON) signal or not.Last edited by budm; 01-22-2014, 10:41 PM.Never stop learning

Re: samsung LA 22A450C1
This is a TV and not a standalone Computer monitor, when you power on the power led should blink and come on.Connect AV signals and after power on keep pressing source(Input select) on remote,if TV is working with signals connected you should be able to hear the Audio.
I suspect the Logic board is defective which is a known failure for this model.Check 3V3,5V and 1.5V on the logic board and if all voltages are present suspect defective main board.
On this model I was not able to bring on the Back-lights by pulling up the pin from 5v on logic board.
I have recently repaired this TV motherboard with the same problem of No operation except power led blinking when operating with remote or panel switches.
Just heated the metal shielded box which has the micro processor ICs.

"On this model I was not able to bring on the Back-lights by pulling up the pin from 5v on logic board." if you do not disconnect the BL_ON line from the main board if the BL_ON is being held LO by the main board, it will not allow the BL_ON to go HI using the resistor.Never stop learning

by C152HeavySamsung LN46C630K1F – Intermittent Backlight, BN44-00341B Power Board
Summary for TL-DR readers:
• Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
• Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
• Have read ALL applicable threads
• C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
• CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.

by dkneyleThis relic from a technology path that came to a dead end (but still has historical interest) was brought in with a dead SMPS, which is based around a MK1210 device. I got it going after a battle. It seems to have a strange design - if it's not getting feedback that the secondary is OK it cause the big FET to go into full conduction and overloads resulting in a blown fuse at best or something worse! I'm using a Dim Bulb Tester (70W/230V) which thankfully has saved the day a number of times whilst repairing.
Now, it loads a CD OK. The motor voltage output (which is built onto the SMPS... -
by ngth82Good evening all!
I'm currently working on a Samsung UN46EH5000 TV.
I'm looking for the SMPS schematic for it. Does anyone have a source they can point me to? I looked on ElektroTanya and Tom's Service manual's sites, but i didn't see it.
I got the TV for $10. The unit worked, but 26 of the 44 back light LEDs were blown (all shorted). Looks like that is common with this model. Using my LED tester, it shows a Vf=2.6-2.7V.
I replaced all of the LEDs with SMD parts that I have. The rated Vf=2.9V on these units.

by ohrenI hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.
I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.
The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively.... -
by brucetvWell, just snapped the back on another piece of crap less than 2 year old Samsung after giving the customer the bad news that the lower panel driver boards have so many shorts its not recoverable. Now if your tv takes even a subtle surge it not only takes out part of your main board/tcon board it keeps on going right into those lower panel driver boards and the customer doesn't want to pay my hourly fee to find shorted caps in parallel, fried resistors, and shorted diodes. We really started to see them roll in like this in the KS,MU,NU, RU, and now QN series Samsung's it seems they are deliberately...
