Replaced 2 buldging caps on a dead monitor, now flickering?

The monitor is a DGM 24" monitor.

It were completely dead, so I took a look inside and replaced 2 bulging caps (16v 1000uf). I replaced them with the same rating and Panasonic low ESR caps.

It works and turns on, but now there is a flickering across the screen. The picture is there from the VGA port and it looks clear if it wasn't for the lines.

The whole picture jumps up and down slightly too.

I checked the cables etc and everything is in place.

    Have I missed some caps?

I tested a capacitor that was a 35v 1000uf and it would only get a reading if I reversed the polarity?

      Problem solved!

Tested all the other caps and found no problems, so resoldered them, and removed some old adhesive glue crap. And now the monitor works without problems!

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
          by reessi
          Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
          by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

          AOC AG493UCX 49-inch monitor - Firmware request
          by wattage
          Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...
