iiyama E2407SDHD stuck in test mode

Just ran into this myself. If you happen to hold some buttons down on this monitor while it is powering up, or while you plug in the video cable, it'll go into some test mode (red-green-blue-white-black etc.) and won't display video.

How to cure it (upon some research and fiddling around):
    - Unplug monitor and video source.
    - Hold [2] and ^. (NOTE: apparently v and ^ work too but I had no luck with those.)
    - Press power.
    - Release [2] and ^.
    - Plug in source.
    - Unplug unit.
    - Plug unit back in.

Should be back to normal after that.

Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.
    by nono34
    Hello,

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

SHARP LC-32CHF5111K - stuck at color test mode
    by YellowJacket
    Hi friends,

TV has stuck at - as I googled the term - color test mode. Slowly flashing colors white, red, green, blue, black, over and over again. I tried some hints from internet, like pressing some remote buttons, but nothing worked. I also tried factory reset for Sharp TVs => "while holding vol– & input buttons on tv plug in set when “k” appears push vol– & chan- " , but TV doesn't even start during buttons pressed.
So I decided to flash new firmware to SPI ROM. What do you say, would it help? If so, where can I find some dump? I was unable to find...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?
    by chth96
    Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

Panasonic tx-55cx802b stuck on panel test mode
    by gigigi
Panasonic tx-55cx802b stuck on panel test mode.
It was working normally but few days ago some of the LED reflectors fall off.
I've opened it up carefully, re-glued, while it was open switched it on to test LEDs.
    Then carefully assembled back.
After plugging in to power remote does not work.
Using power button on the TV it turns on but gets itself into a panel testing mode: white, gradient, red, gradient, blue, gradient, green and so on switching between colours.

Anyone knows how to get out of this panel testing mode?

    I've tried so...

test active pfc power with lamp test
    by khelane
    Hello
I have a big problem and that is that in some cases when repairing active pfc power supplies I cannot work with a test lamp. I can only get help with 5 volts standby and for starting and starting I have to work without a lamp and this way there is a possibility of parts exploding and other parts being added.
Sometimes with a multimeter test the problems can be reduced to some extent, but I had several cases that had to be tested on and online and recently two varistors exploded. They had terrible resistance because the power supplies were over 800 watts.
    Is there a way...
