    hp 2009F SB520 diode always shorted

    i have HP 2009F LCD monitor, problem is "no power", when i check the power board one of the diode SB520 is shorted..i try replacing both of them with same value and it works, but only a couple of minutes..
    can anyone help me find out what cause this diode shorted?

      1) Post clear top down view pictures of all your boards following my sig file below exactly.

      2) Here is an example of how the picture composition should look like

      3) Post a clear focused closeup picture of the diode and its surrounding components. The picture should be clear so we can read the pcb designations (use macro mode on your camera).

      4) Afterwards, we can make suggestions.

          TVS diode shorted on HP motherboard

          Hello guys,
          I have seen a few videos on youtube about repiring HP 15 pavilion laptops that has TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode shorted to the ground.
          Please have a look at the attached picture.
          The diode is P4SMAJ20A and according to the datasheet its breakdown voltage (at 1 mA is 22.2V or 24.6V at10 mA).
          THis means that if voltage goes higher that 23V this diode will start conducting and short to ground thus protecting rest of the circuits from overvoltage.

          What I don't understand if is this diode reversible, for example if voltage goes below 20...

          Hi there all.

          Troubleshooting an SMPS and I’ve found a SMD diode shorted in both directions. The trouble is it has no identification on it. So what do I replace it with and how do I tell where the anode and cathode is and how to mount the replacement?

          It is diode D1 on the image.

          Hi every one. I just want to share the successful repair of my shorted Panasonic TNPA4782AB SC board.

          I don't usually do it but so many parts were shorted that I decided to buy the ShopJimmy repair kit instead of sourcing each components individually. Here is the list of components the kit contained, with a remark indicating if I needed that part or not :

          D608, good
          D618 RF101L4S, good (See warning 1 below)
          D619 RF101L4S, good (See warning 1 below)
          D865 RF101L4S, shorted (See warning 1 below)

          IC464 Inverter HA MC74HC1G14, shorted...

          Hi to all,
          the owner of this machine gave it to me after having opened it to take off the dust from the inside, telling me that after that it didn't start anymore.
          I found that one of the DrMOS (AOZ5016QI) on the CPUCORE was shorted between VIN and VSWH, and that one of the two n-mos connected to the power jack was shorted aswell.
          I unsoldered the two shorted components and verified that there were no other short circuits, then decided to power the mainboard, firstly with the lab power supply, then with its original HP 200w charger, but the behaviour is the same, the board starts...

          Dead Razer Blade 14 2022, shorted CPU?

          Hi,

          today I got Razer Blade 14, Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti.

          Laptop was completely dead. I found shorted CPU VRM mosfet, shorted 19V mosfet and blown battery fuse.

          I replaced it all, but still on CPU coil where mosfet was shorted I got very low resistance, near 0 ohms. On other CPU coils I got around 3 ohms.

          Laptop now raises voltage on whole board, but still nothing comes on the screen. CPU gets 0.7V on all coils except the shorted one. CPU gets only slightly hot, below 40 C.

          I removed coil and injected 0.7V, it draw around...
