Re: 204B freezes after caps replace

If the power supply is putting out 13.06-13.07 V on the DVM, can we consider it stable? I have this situation, but the logic board still seems to not be sending correct voltages back for dimming etc, and the power button won't light. So is this a bad logic board, or still potentially bad power supply? My supply ultimately failed enough to leave brown mark on the shielding. I replaced all the caps.

"13.06-13.07 V" that is fine as you can see in the other post on this thread.

Re: 204B freezes after caps replace

Just an update for my case:
As I own more than on 204B, I swapped logic boards from a working unit. This immediately solved the problem.

I found a Chinese source for the part and ordered a new replacement signal/logic board (BN41-00620F Driver Board) from here:

But there are plenty of other sources available:

I had the same problem with 204B - monitor sometimes freezed after powering on.
          Shortening pins 5 and 6 of EEPROM A81SC (24C08) made 204B working.
But there was no physical damages in 24C08 nor in it's dump.

The cause was the bad capasitor C609, which did not smooth IC602 (1.8V voltage regulator for powering MCU) output.

Ok, then I will try to find proper capacitors, replace them and see what's going to happen.
Europe is almost always 230, IIRC.
