Are you talking about F1 on the USB/SUB power supply board?

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
Ok, guys I have more news about this problem. We have replaced F1 (fuse) and it blow up again, but this time worst, cuz now the display does not even start.
Any thought?
Do you know if Dell sells the entire board?
Thanks in advance!Leave a comment:

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
I have a friend that can do the job. Let´s see if I can find the replacement.
BTW: Has someone take a look to the Caps measures I uploaded?Leave a comment:

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
I am sure that Budm's workshop could match that. Might not be as organized though.
The second video would be the way that I would do it. If you have a practice board have a go at taking them off and putting them back on that will give you the confidence to do it.Leave a comment:

LOL YEAHHH I Just bought all that stuff!! HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I really would like to know why the fuse went away, cuz If I replaced it what are the possibilities to blow up again?Leave a comment:

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
Like I suggested you could just piggyback it.
If you are sure it is open, its not going to matter if it breaks.
Obviously you are going to need a few extra tools - like this - hah hah

Thanks!!! Now, I´m wondering what was the root cause that blows the fuse.Leave a comment:

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
Yes - steady hand, steady eye, tweezers and a lot of luck.
There are videos on soldering smd components on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWeAOemTY_E
However before going to a lot of effort you can "piggy back" it that means put a new fuse on top of the old one. You could even use a non smd fuse to try
You need to get the correct rating

1 on the left, is it possible to replace this tiny fuse?

Re: Dell WFP 2007 No image
1) Never use continuity to test a fuse, always use resistance. A good fuse should measure less than 1.0 ohms. Resistance is always tested with power off and device unplugged from the wall outlet.
2) Put your multimeter on 200 ohms.
3) Put your red probe on one side of F1. Put your black on the other side of F1.
4) If the multimeter is showing "1" on the left hand side on the screen (like it does when the probes aren't touching), that tells you that the fuse is greater than 200 ohms. This means the fuse is blown or bad.
Don't confuse "1" on the left hand side of this display with 1.0 on the right hand side. The first means out of range and the second means 1.0 unit of your measurement.Leave a comment:

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

by DanPokaI bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...-

by 3D ModelkaHello. I have a problem with my AOC 27 monitor, specifically model Q27G2WG4, which I have been using for 3 years. The monitor stopped turning on: when I turn it on, the backlight turns on, the indicator starts glowing white, but the logo on the screen does not appear, and there is no image. However, if I check in the Windows system, the monitor is displayed as connected and working. I tried connecting it via HDMI and DP, but the result remains the same. If I turn the monitor on and off multiple times, it will eventually start and work. However, when the monitor is working, there are no issues....1 Photo

by juergenbI got my self a new Dell Workstation (Dell Precision 3660, i5-13500).
Unfortunately, Dell has fixed the front fan´s settings in the BIOS.
Both the speed and the presence of the fan are fixed.
There seems to be no hidden setting.
The thermal tables for the speeds were changed in one of the last BIOS updates.
Do you see a possibility to change these tables from the BIOS update file?
Precision_3660_2.1.0 -> Release Notes
Updated the thermal table to reduce fan noise.
Updated Intel Management...-
