    HP L2045w white screen problem

    I got a HP L2045w monitor when I turn it on the LED turns green and I get a white screen, I cant get to menus.

    I took it apart and looked at, the electrolytic can caps, cables,5v power rail, they all were good. Except the main fuse on the LCD controller board.

    The ground and supply rails are shorted on the controller board. I know this because the resistances are ~5Ω. When I bridge the fuse I hear a clicking sound coming out of the main board like a fuse is blowing then resets.

    I repaired a HP LP1965 monitor with the same problem, it was a shorted ceramic capacitor.

    So i started desoldering the ceramic capacitors,and diodes, using a hot air rework station. Then I desoldered the FET transistor which when I resoldered it made the resistances go up from ~5Ω to ~1kΩ. When I Bridge the fuse with a strand of copper wire, the board still shorts out.

    I recorded resistance values of the test points after I resoldered the FET
    Back of the board
    VCOM= 20MΩ
    VDDD= 1.034kΩ
    VDDG= 100KΩ
    VEEG= 147.2KΩ
    VDDA=0.884KΩ
    V1= 0.875KΩ
    V2= 0.873KΩ
    V3= 0.776KΩ
    V4= 0.749KΩ
    V5= 0.729KΩ
    V6= 0.629KΩ
    V7= 0.639KΩ
    V8= 0.566KΩ
    V9= 0.491KΩ
    V10= 0.416KΩ
    V11= 0.375KΩ
    V12= 0.315KΩ
    V13= 118.6Ω
    V14= 48.6Ω (this seems really low)

    I took pictures of the circuit board
    • green is the components i tested
    • red is positive*
    • Black is negative*
    • blue is potentially bad components
    • purple is the blown fuse
    • yellow is a FET transistor that i desoldered

    *most likely this is wrong so don't trust it.

    Also there is a Photoshop file which overlays the front and back layers

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks

    Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
    Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

    Problem

    This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

    My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
    Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
    In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

    Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...

    MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 Screen Connector
    by TheDando
    Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds.So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

    Is this white-washed screen caused by a faulty T-Con board or panel? Sharp Aquos c70le735x
    by thesharpfella
    Hello esteemed gentlemen. I have owned this LCD TV since 2012. The only repair was the replacement of the PSU a few years ago. Apart from that, no issues. Recently, all was working fine until I switched on to see it appear as so. The day before it was working fine. There is sound. Could this be a T-Con board issue? If not, what could it be? Thank you.
