Dell 2007WFP Blank screen, front leds blinking amber

    Hi All!
I searched the available threads but those solutions didn't seem to fit my situation. Problem started when the monitor would restart itself, then progressively deteriorated to a blank screen while the power button led flickering on and off. Finally the front control leds (4 of them) just blinked amber, in unison.

I searched around the web for a repair manual and happened upon this forum. I've been a DIY'er my whole life, however troubleshooting a non functioning monitor is a new challenge. I'm great at assembling electronic components but suffer in the troubleshooting area. I really would appreciate any help that could be provided.

The status of the monitor is it has been opened and the main power board is out. However no distinguishable problems with the board (deformed or misshapen caps, diodes or transistors). What should be my next step from here?

    Thanks.

Check the voltages on the cable from the power supply to the signal card.

Post pictures of the signal card.

The symptoms you describe indicate you MIGHT have a corrupted user EEPROM. I suggest searching for a reset procedure for the monitor. His involves holding down certain buttons while applying power.

One other note. When we see a bulging cap we know it is bad. Just because a cap is not bulging does not mean it is good.

Thanks PlainBill, I'll check the voltages tonight.
Are they all referenced to the black wire or are there pairs I should test? I'll try both ways... The image 06082011061-MOD.jpg shows connectors A and B, I understand that I should check the voltages of A.

I've attached images of the cards, with identification call outs. I get easily confused and I want to make sure I understand your directions.
I appreciate your assistance and don't want to waste your time.

I've searched for a way to reset the monitor and I did the factory reset, I think it just clears whatever settings I made, this had no effect.
Hopefully the voltages will reveal something.

Duh!!! My error. The black and brown wires are ground, so measure the voltages using the black wire as ground. And I am interested in the voltages to the signal card.

Also, the terminology I use is 1A is the power supply, 1B is the inverter, 1C is the signal (or logic, or controller) card, and 1D is the USB card.

You are correct, it's important to keep our terminology consistent. Of course, it has gotten easier. Some monitors combine A, B, and C all on one board.

So i plug in the charger, amber light starts blinking ,there is 3.3V and 5V present, and 2.4V on the power button, board doesn't turn on, no shorts...
          I've tried flashing the bios...

interesting thing is the battery was around 7,8V, and it's 11.1V battery, the mosfet near the battery is open, but not charging,i desoldered it,tested it and it's fine ,but the amber light kept going on the charger so i charged the battery with power supply and got it to about 10.5V...

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
          by Pipolups
          Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

HP ProBook 650 G4 Blinking Amber Light
          by sect-sin
          Hello,

I have a HP ProBook 650 G4 with a continuously blinking amber light, no post issue. The motherboard version is CHROMIA-6050A2930001-MB-A01(A1), no schematics or boardview is available for it.

What I have done so far is the following: There is no short anywhere on the board, and all high and low MOSFETs check out fine (I checked resistances across G-S-D as well as diodes). BIOS and EC both get 3.3V, I tried reflashing both with fixed versions from hoaca, no change.

I measured all coil voltages, see attached image for values, some get voltages, some...
