Well i decided to pull the power supply out of my working LP2626 monitor and i really like the way they stamped the resistor 508 and 525 it is a 1.5M resistor.

yes i did read them out of the board and it did read the same as 508. they looked somewhat dark in color but that could have been manufacturing. i read them with a analog meter and a digital meter (same results per say). with pg clips so as not to induce resistance from me. i have been able to keep this monitor up, but after a power cycle it is pot luck weather it comes up or not.. IF anyone has the 3pf caps for sale i could take 4 of them. i replaced the 12pf caps and have extras. i do have another vmm26 monitor i could pull the power supply on and read those resistors.. if any one has additional info thanks for the help.

Does it read the same as R508? Did you test it off the board and your are not touching the meter probes with your hand?

SO i bought another monitor and replaced the 12pf caps the monitor comes on then off again after 3 seconds. i read resistor r525 and and it reads .9 Meg, can anyone tell me if this is a 1.5 meg resistor it is hard for me to read the color bands i would say it is brown/green/green. i did not have the 3pf caps but will get a couple of them but i wanted to replace resistors at the same time. Since they did not seem to read what they should.
i did see the pictures posted to this forum, awesome pictures i might add, still unsure of the resistor values.

    WOOOHOOOO!!

Thank You - the monitor works perfectly - We bought some caps off ebay out of Canada for about $4 took about a week to arrive, about 5 minutes to install, tested - worked, put it all back together and I have one really happy boy! that is a very nice monitor!!!

Thought I would close out my end - so many newb's never come back and thank forum regulars -

as for what we did (guess that is important too) I replaced cap c517 and c519 with same size 12pf 3kv caps )only one was "burned"

I would like to add - the "ribbon" connector on the power board does NOT unplug!!! - if you want it to be removed you have to unplug it from the other end which required removing the other metal box, pcb and a few wires - then unplug the cable to the power board - use some sort of a marker to mark the placement of the box before removing so it will align with the back when re-installed (its just "taped" in place)

Anyhow - hope to use this forum again and thanks!

Thanks so much for the info and reply - I will report back my findings to bring a close to my end of the thread - planning to replace ALL 4 with same as factory

I repalce them with what they should be, two are 3pf, two are 12pf. I replaced tham as a set. So make sure you mark each location to make sure you install the right value at the right location.

    Thanks
so the link shows all caps removed - were they all replaced with the same P/N (12pf 3KV)

I am really electrically challenged so I thank you in advance for "dumbing it down" for me

504 is the same as 519, they are symetrical.
I use TDK or MURATA, VISHAY from Digikey or Mouser. Just type in 3pf 3000V (or 6300V) in the search box
3pf 3000V, this will be hard to get.
    12pf 3000v.
You can use 6300V instead, they will be larger.

    Re: Vizio LP2626/VMM26-F20I

Hi guys - brand new - been reading and searching

my question is are the caps at 503 and 504 the same and is that also true on 517 and 519

    my 504 is crispy!
    my 503 reads N3 3KV SEC
    my 517 reads N3 3KV SEC
    my 519 reads 12J 3KV JNC

my thought was 504 might be the 12J 3KV JNC and maybe since 519 looks a little "dark" I would replace both 504 and 519

lastly is there an "alternative" cap that will not burn up - this thing was a PITA to open and I would rather not repeat in 6 months

    THANK YOU for your inputs!!!

These caps circled in red, they are high voltage capacitors, see if any of them look brown (they are normally blue).

Did you test those ballast caps to see if the value has changed or it has leakage resistance? They usually fried with brown marking on the body. In your pictures, they look OK. I get my from MOUSER.

    Re: Vizio LP2626/VMM26-F20I (after thoughts)

I had a similar situation, in my case however, c504 was clearly fried. (c504 is a 12pF, 3000 volt ceramic disc capacitor.)

This monitor was not made to come apart. Don't forget to take out the deep screws. After the screws are out, it's going to take some cautious brute force prying with flat blade screwdrivers (it's good to have several). Start at the bottom speaker grill where the flat spots are and work your way all around. After that, it's downhill.

Thanks for the above and good luck anyone trying to do this.

Yes, use the resistor as a substitute for a CCFL. Check each output and see if the backlights stay on when one CCFL is replaced.

Well recap of the power supply hasn't helped.
I disassembled the lcd panel, not sure what to look at of the ccfl's but all looked clean to me. i believe i have some 5w 120K resistors, could you explain where and how to use them, i would think you are inserting across the pink and blue connectors in place of lcd, then supply i'm guessing should stayed power up as in working state.

i noticed with the main board and power/inverter laying on my desk with no ccfl connected that i dont read any voltage at U301 or Drain of Q301 possibly due to TV disassembled and not turned on.

is there any way to test the inverter by itself. no main board or ccfl connected?

    thanks, thanks, thanks,

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

    Vizio M65-C1
    by mrtek
    Hi.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

    Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

    Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...
