    LCD Monitor Problem

I have an LCD monitor with a problem. Don't quite know how to describe it, but here goes. If you go to Control Panel, Display, Settings, on the screen that comes up, the white background that's supposed to be there is grayish, fuzzy, and snowy/shaky. It's like this on all screens, with different colored backgrounds. However, the main screen seems to be OK, except for faint background angled jagged lines moving on it. The boot start up screen and the BIOS screen as well as the Windows startup screen all seem to be good, the problem is only when windows is running. I tried this on 4 different comps to make sure it wasn't a video card problem. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

Try doing an automatic tune on it with the button.

Check/replace the video cable. With luck, that's it. Otherwise it may be a cap or other component failing on the monitor processor or power supply boards. Giving the brand and model of monitor mught help.

@ mockingbird, that was one of the first things I tried.

@ jsog, I think you're right. After reading your post, I wiggled the monitor cable and got a change in the pattern of squiggly lines.

The monitor is a MAG Innovision LT782s with an attached non removable video cable.

The fitted video cables on most Monitors are usually quite a bit heavier than the normal type, and do need to be fully screwed into the PC,otherwise the odd thing can happen.

I have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?

A2141 Screen replacement. Boots screen freezes on Apple Logo 1/3 status bar unless connected to second monitor.

            Having this very weird issue.
The owner of this laptop complained about screen being intermittent when opening and closing, and has been using the laptop on a thunderbolt video connection since the screen failed.

I swapped with a working screen from an A2141 waiting for parts.

The Os exhibits this weird behavior where it boots to to 1/3 the status bar, then it makes the boop sound. It's at the log in but for whatever reason the desktop isn't loaded.

The laptop boots fine into recovery mode. I updated from Monterey to Sonoma and the laptop still has...

Sony KD-55XG9505 lines on screen problem
            by Chrissygizmo
            Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
            by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
            by smic717394
            Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
