First LED repair which will be quite exciting yet nervous cause this model is only 6 months old and I did a few basic google searches and so far no real information on repairs. Taking this thing apart was a real treat cause it is alot thinner than traditional monitors and has 3 thin ribbon cables running to the panel. Not to mention there is a 3rd board in the little chassis.
Symptom: Plug in, now power, no light, no nothing.
So far for visual inspection, no blow caps or cold soldering or board burn marks.
Even though I know what I should check, I'd like to take a systematic approach to repairing this monitor to get practice rather than jumping to the obvious. So, if anyone has a list of 'to-dos' that would be greatly much appreciated.
(Sorry for the bad pictures, didn't want to set up my normal lighting tonight to take 6-8 pictures. BTW if you click on the pictures below, it will open a window within this one, click on it again and it will open the picture in the new tab, and you can click on it again to get a larger picture)
