I have just come across this forum and am amazed and the level of expertise and help. You guys know your stuff! I am not a newbie but am a novice at the caps game and am having a heck of a time cracking the case on my Envision 1780 open. I have all of the screws out with the exception of the two small one holding the stand on the back. I have removed the white faceplate but cannot get to the boards. Can anyone please tell me how to open this thing up and get to the meat and potatoes of my Envision TFT1780. Thanks in advance!

Cracked the case myself! pat pat on my back however, there are no bad caps that I can find and the power supply is an external brick supply that appears to be working fine according to my meter.
The monitor is acting goofy...When awakened from a "sleep" the monitor has a bunch of "staticky wavey lines", it lasts for maybe 3-5 minutes then it works fine until the next time it goes to sleep. The monitor stays on 24/7 because the environment demands that it be. Thanks in advance for any help! Hammertime -

This could be bad caps that have high esr. As the caps warm up, their esr drops and the monitor works properly.
To see if this the case, take a hair dryer and carefully warm up the caps on the inverter board first. If the wavy lines go away quicker, you know it is related to the caps. If the inverter board caps are not the problem, then try the caps on the logic board.

Have this fridge, laboratory grade unit, not working fully.
It's designed with a chilling unit at the top, on the inside, and a fan just below that. When the door is closed, the fan blows the cold air down through the fridge, and when the door opens, the fan switches off, presumably so that it doesn't blow all the cold air out.
The fan isn't switching on, so in addition to not having uniform cold throughout the fridge, the chilling tubes tend to ice up. I took the lid off the top, electronics are in the lid, and when the door is opened and closed, I can hear the relevant... -

Wanted to share this as I couldn't find anything on the internet about this problem, so pulled one apart and found the problem myself. Years ago I bought approx 20 or so Crest Smart Home Single Power Adapter smart switches - small 240v Tuya-compatible (rebranded) smart switch devices with power monitoring, which Big W had on sale for half price. Paid $7.50 each for these, and they've been incredibly useful for turning things on and off remotely... and monitoring how much power each device uses.

Dear Friend., I am working on an ASUS ZenBook UM5401Q (OLED) . The problem is very intermittent. When it's on, it remains on for whatever time constrain we want to. But when I shut it down, it does not turn on at all. I leave it aside with the LCD lid closed, after about 10 ~ 20 mins I hear the Windows chime & it boots up with the lid closed. When I open the lid, I see that the laptop is already in the login screen. May the BIOS has some problem. Can some redo/Clean/re-write the BIOS again, this might fix the laptop problem. Hi everybody,
my 11 year old Eizo FS2333 started having issues today for the first time, the backlight suddenly got very dim and started flickering. I thought that I could run the monitor at 40-50% brightness as a stopgap (100% normally) but even then it flickers a lot. I'm guessing it's failing capacitors on the power board.
