Re: HP 1825 Display Black Power Light Green
When replacing my caps I see that I made a mistake in measuring the height of the caps. It should read that the 470uf 25v caps are 10mm wide and 16 mm high. The two caps on the inverter are 7 mm wide and 5 mm high and 22uf 25v. Both of these caps were bad and appear to be the reason for the bad smd fuse at location F1.
After replacing these items with some temporary caps and a temp fuse the panel lights up.
Thanks again for everyone's help.Comment

Re: HP 1825 Display Black Power Light Green
I have one fuse on one inverter board that is good, but how do I tell what a replacement fuse should be for two boards that the bad caps caused the fuse to blow? The fuse is located at F1 on the inverter and is an smd. I have put a temporary glass 4amp fuse in place of the blown fuse. It seems to work fine, but I am not at all sure if that is a reasonable value for the replacement. I would like to have a few standard fuses on hand. Can someone suggest some normal ones to keep around as spares as well as suggest what might be reasonable for location F1?Comment

PlainBillFor a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Re: HP 1825 Display Black Power Light Green
I replaced the smd fuse with SF-1206F500-2CT-ND from Digi-Key, it is a 5 amp fast smd 1206. That along with the 22uf 25v caps on the inverter made the difference. I recapped the image card and the power supply with samxon's from badcaps.net and now two of the three panels appear to work fine. The third panel has a smashed screen, but the image and power boards are fine.
How can I use the good lamps to test problems on other panels? I seem to have read about a kit to test lamps with. Where are plans for such a kit?
Thanks everyone.Comment

Re: HP 1825 Display Black Power Light Green
If these are good lamps, I just leave them in their lcd housing and stretch the cables from the other monitor for testing. You don't need to build anything fancy.--- begin sig file ---

by MOSSEPHi
Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.
Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.
The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.
I have already tried replacing all of the...-

by lcdcaps1Hi
I have an 820-2610-A motherboard that has no green light.
I have noticed is when I do a SMC reset the light on the Magsafe blinks.
From My understanding, the sys onewire circuit is responsible for the green light on the magsafe
The sys onewire circuit on this model and others is more involved
I was hoping if anyone knows about this and how it works, can reply and let me know
I know this is an old model but I am sure there are people who still works on these or knows about them

by blazzeliaHi guys,
I have this 2011 MBP - the company I was working for, bought it at the time for a project and gave it to me after that. Later on, I gave it to my daughter which used it for normal internet browsing and office apps. At some point the, now famous, AMD GPU issue hit this laptop as well. I disabled the use of the AMD GPU following some information I found at the time (the one that, at the end, one moved AMD kext drivers to a backup location). So the laptop was using the CPU graphics and it was ok for the said daily usage. I even replaced the drive with an SSD one and it was operating... -
