    Help Dell E173fpb 17inch monitor

Hi all just joined the forum after some help if anyone knows what this problem may be...
i aquired this monitor about a year ago from our local landfil site it was dead anyway thanks to the internet found that the 2 pairs of invertors can go short so i repl all 4 ...bingo all worked fine...component ref q740 q760 q739 q759..

problem now very different it will switch on fine and work some times for 10 mins sometimes for hours but then it just goes off. we found if we unplug the mains for a short while it then powers up again fine. there is no standby light its just as if you have pulled the mains. i am checking caps for bulges etc but no luck there has anyone had these symptons or could suggest a fix,,
    many thanks agn

Do the standby and power led work correctly during the time the monitor is working?

Sounds like the PSU is shutting down because it's detecting a short or you have bad solder joints.

You *must* resolder all the inverter transformer (the 4 yellow boxes that start with a "T") pins for Benq power/inverter boards. If you don't, it will cause the c5707 transistors and the picofuse to possibly go bad or cause symptoms like what you are seeing.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
