I have qty2 of VX 924, each has the same fault .in that the inverter driver transistors need replacing. They have DK QP on them, are SOT89,and I understand they are NPN,50v,2A,part code 2SC4672.These are unobtainable in the UK,via Farnell,RS and various others.Has anyone used a suitable equivalent for them, which, hopefully, can be obtained. Many thanks for any ideas.

Before I found the link to the Rohm part I tried to find parts in the SOT89 package with specs similar to the 2SC5707 used in the Benq monitors. I don't remember what I came up with, but it did successfully repair one monitor. I just tried searching on Digikey for an NPN BJT with a current rating of 3A, 50V, SOT89, and looking for an hFE of 200 or greater. I got half a dozen hits. Obviously, Digikey won't work as a supplier for you, but if your suppliers do not have an equivalent search engine, follow my path and start checking if any of those parts are available form your suppliers.
The parts were also available on eBay from a seller who ships worldwide (at an impressive markup). Search for DK transistor.
Or of course, there is always the classic approach of having someone order them and reship to you. Sorry, I'm not volunteering. I've got too many things undone as it is.
