    Behringer Zmx2600

    Greetings
I have this multizone mixer that after a strong lightning bolt has not turned on anymore, as you can see from the photos I have disassembled it and on the power supply everything looks ok, the fuse has not blown and there is no sign of burning, such as you can see in the picture the mixer is composed of two parts, the one where there is the power supply and all the input and output connectors and the front one where there are the various volume adjustments, the two parts are connected to each other by the cable of the 'power supply and from the three connectors, I realized that by connecting the first two connectors (the ones closest to the power supply) with the last connector disconnected, the mixer turns on, when I connect the last total darkness, on the output power connector I have 3 pins, testing the voltages I have +15 volts (on ground and central pin) and - 14.888 volts (on ground and side pin), trying to measure again when it is energized but does not turn on these values are zeroed. What do you tell me? Thanks

do you mean the audio connectors, if you plug in, it turns on? so you have a mechanical problem? Did you look for problems on the other side of the board?

not the audio connectors, if you look at the photos you will see that there are three white flat type connectors, I'm talking about those

don't know, could be a short on the other half (what/s on it?) or the audio connector board, or the PSU is giving up too early...need to collect more info...

I disassembled half of the audio connectors, and there are operational amplifiers every two xlrs both on the in and out, the offending connector that turns off the unit immediately goes to the xlr input connectors where we have the first 4580r and so on, it could be the one in short? is there any way to test it?

            Re: Behringer Zmx2600

I did some other tests, I identified the pins on the offending connector that carry the voltage to the connector section, the voltage arrives at the connector exactly as it starts + 15 volts and - 14.8 volts so the problem is probably on the connector section where there are the opamps

for the psu to shut down, there is a dead short somewhere. Take it apart and make another picture.

For the moment I am on standby because my customer does not want to repair it but buy another new one, if he changes his mind and I have to continue the repair I will put more photos thanks for the moment

                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Modification to a ZD-987 desoldering/soldering station using a external switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have been working on this concept for quite some time now with limited success but recently I found a switching power supply that is setup for the voltage that this soldering station needs to operate at however it also needs part of the secondary circuit from the original switching power because you need several voltage rails

I once tried to get a ZD-915 desoldering station to work on a 18 volt battery power supply but unfortunately things did not go well but I did find a work around but I might try this idea again but going at a little differently more about this another time...

                  Hi, I have few questions

                  1. few of my pots on mixer are turning so hard, I tried to clean them and spray some DeoxIT Fader spray in it, but it didn't help. Is there any way to put some grease inside that pots whole that is on the side instead of spraing in it ?

                  2. Or is it just simpler to replace them all with same ones ? I am not into pots, so am I able to put some better quality ones or it needs to be same one as they were default ?...

Hi, Can we use SMPS Bench Power Supply for Laptop troubleshooting?
                  by shamsudeen
Hi all, I just need to know that, can i use SMPS type power supply to test and short circuit detection on a laptop motherboard?
I saw 95% of repair guys are using only Linear bench power supply. linear bench power supply is pricy, thats why i planned to get one SMPS supply.

i know that in linear power supply the noise will be very low comparing to SMPS supply....
