Denon AVR-E300 in DC Protect Mode

I've started troubleshooting this issue. I've cleared the code and it resets the error. Trying to figure out an approach. Looking for DC voltage in the output would seem the right move. First, determining which channel Front or Surround. Secondly, where to test? I would usually test the pins on the output relays, but they are on the bottom of the main board. Any idea the best place way to check the output?

I know you can disarm the auto shutdown by removing the harness BM502 between the Main and digital board. I've already inspected the board, tested main caps, and diode tested the power transistors.

Any good tech advice on approaching this DC protect problem would be appreciated. The troubleshooter in the Service Manual doesn't get you too far.

Ok, maybe this will work. I can see the main board and schematic show pins for setting measuring the MV to bias each channel. Pin 2 is connected to the output for the last stage of each channel (image attached). I'm assuming you measure for DC voltage between this pin and chassis ground?

Yes, check the voltage on pin2 of the plug, it should be close to 0v. You wil likely need to monitor the voltage when you first turn the amp on. If the amp goes into protection, the voltage will likely be 0 anyway due to shutdown.

Looks like one channel has a blown base resistor. What else usually goes? Nothing obvious yet, I'll have to dig deeper.

The transistor that is connected to it at a minimum,

Denon AVR S720W Main Speaker no output.
            by Z2yzx
            Hi everyone!

Does anyone out there have any insight as to why my AVR will not output sound through main speakers or head phones?

            Here is the info:
            Unit powers up normal
            Relays click
Zone 2 works fine 100% of the time.
Main Zone sometimes works fine like .05% of the time.
Sometimes I can plug headphones and hear scratching sound via the headphones. Once that happens I can unplug the headphones and the main speaker zone works fine.

is there something I can inspect?

I have somewhat moderate skills with electronics....

Reverse engineering of 18650 4-channel tester
            by spleenharvester
            Hi friends

I have reverse engineered this tester, schematic is attached and is complete except for capacitor values. These testers annoyingly have no model number but they are the ones you find on the first page of just about any website if you type in "18650 4-channel tester". There is also a 2-channel variant and a newer 8-channel variant. They are very cheap (about £15) and can measure voltage, current, internal resistance and capacity. They have a multicolour display for all these statistics. They also have terminal blocks so that if you want to use a breakout board...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
            by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
            by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Denon AVR 1908, High pitch noise on Surround back Left channel after long overhaul
            by karatzdi
            Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...
