    Audio Technica Cartridge

I'm looking for the specs on the cartridge used in my Pioneer PL-516, which is an Audio Technica AT4412XE.

I shelled out the $70 for a genuine AT shibata stylus, and it sounds great. I'm hoping to get my hands on a Bellari VP129 tube preamp to try on it, but I wanted to make sure it would be compatible first. Anyone know what voltage level this cartridge puts out?

On a side note, after I got the PL-516, I found out my $179 Sony turntable (that I got a certain big name store) plays a bit too fast, and is not adjustable

Also found this amusing, since I have a Marantz 2240. Yay for vintage quality

The guy was a fool: putting into mains a possibly wrecked and dirty equipment: at least open it a check inside. Perhaps he was waiting for a second fire?

I'm sure he had to open it to replace the cord. As long as the primary fuses are of proper value, I would say there is no harm.

yes i dont agree with the ad subject. surprised they ran that.

my sister has a bunch of marantz separates. they must be over 15 years old. still going strong. the amp busted once and they fixed it for next day pickup lol, i could not believe that. dont know if they build them like that anymore though.

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
              by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

Roland KR-3500/4500 Digital Piano. Crackling audio sound on all keys -Fixed
              by i_am_patch
Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...

Monitor Audio RSW12 - Green light but no audio
              by MOSSEP
              Hi

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.

Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.

The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have already tried replacing all of the...

MacBook Air 2337 - Right I/O Board Audio IC - Alternative Replacement?
              by grimacelord
              Hello,

I'm working on a MacBook Air A2337 that had liquid damage on the right I/O board. I ultrasonic cleaned the board and it all functions except the computer has no audio. I tried reballing the audio IC which is TAS5770AC0, but that did not restore audio. I could just replace the entire board, but I wanted to see if replacing the audio IC would fix it first. Mouser has a similar audio IC in stock which is TAS5770LC0YFFR, but I wasn't sure if it is compatible. I was just wondering if anyone knew if I could use the one from mouser as an acceptable replacement or if I need to purchase...

              by Piaskos
Hi, i've got problem with Dell Vostro 5490.
              Board - Mantis CML 18788-1

Windows says "no audio device detected". The other functions work properly.

              What i've done:

              1. I checked motherboard

              2. I changed audio codec (ALC3204)

              3. I reflashed bios with clear ME

              4. Audio is enable in bios

              5. Both speakers are good

              6. After installing the drivers from the Dell website, the devices visible in the manager:
              - Audio for intel displays
              - Intel Smart Sound Technology...
