    KTS-MP400MR Marine stereo

The wired remotes quit working two new ones don't work ether, must be the stereo,
I cracked open one of the old remotes and put 12volt & Gnd to it and it fired up. When the remote is plugged in the BU line on pin 6 of the connector drops from 12v to about 1.2v any of you sharp shooters want to look at the schematic and give me some direction I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Brad

btw, does everything work other than the remotes?

Yes, If I run 12volts and gnd to the chassis the remote if functions perfect. all stereo functions too.

"When the remote is plugged in the BU line on pin 6 of the connector drops from 12V to about 1.2V" You need to check the resistance between remote jack pin 6 and the F1 10A fuse, it should be about 10 Ohms (R424, 10 Ohms). For the Voltage to drop down that low it must have high resistance along that path some where otherwise that resistor would have burnt up badly since 12V -1.2v = 10.8V drops on that 10 Ohms resistor which will equal to about 1.08 A of current and the power dissipation of about 11Watts! So I say you have high resistance some where along that BU line back to fuse F1 (Power source).
The 10 Ohms resistor is a protection in case you shorted out the BU pin to ground.

Yep that resistor when high 5k, I have two wire wound 5 ohm resistors in series in place of the 10 ohm smd remotes power up, but no data on display unless the remote is grounded to the chassis and there is full continuity between the remote gnd and pin 2 on CN5.
I can’t put it back together until I get the 10 ohm smd resistor.

            Thanks

Robbed a 10 ohm smd resistor from and old computer cd-rom board, assembled the stereo and the remotes are all working. :-)

              Thanks for the Help.

Thanks for the follow-up, the resistor was probably damaged due to accidentally shorted to GND on the BU output at the remote jack .

Add Stereo Input To Hi-Fi (Sony SONY PMC 107L)
                  by Tarot Superstars
                  Hi.
I bought a Cheap HIFI to use as my PC output and speakers and forgot to check if it had an input. It doesn't.

Is there any way to add a stereo input. I have a bunch of Phono sockets I am not using.
Where in the circuit is the best place to solder the 3 stereo input wires?

This is the model and schematics:

HH Scott Model A510 Stereo Integrated Amplifier/ Graphic EQ - Blowing fuses in the LEFT speaker channel only. Any Help???
                  by Sik_6ty_Sixx
So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...

I got it partly working, but it mostly stays mono, or goes very distorted stereo if I turn the separation trimmer more. What else needs to be adjusted? Mono sounds clean. I think it may have cold joints as the L-channel drops also off at times.

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
                  by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

My (legitimate) massage therapist gave this to me to try to fix last time I saw here. Complaint was that it simply wouldn't turn on anymore. B&B have a rediculous return policy where you have to make a 3 minute video showing what the problem is, etc. Rather than mess with that Dana let me take it to try to fix it.

Verified that it wouldn't turn on. Don't remember trying to charge it before I took it apart. Found that the motor turned freely. Pulled the battery connector apart to check the voltage and the battery voltage was good- fully charged in fact at 11.3 volts. Plugged battery...
