Suggestion On Where to Look. Kenwood KA-35000 amp

I have a Kenwood KA-35000 amp. I've recapped all the electrolytic capacitors recently. When I first turn the unit on I get a few second hum and a small pop sound on speakers and then silence. I am able to play music, etc without an issue after wards. Because it occurs only at the initial powering up each time and only last a few seconds I am having trouble figuring out how to troubleshoot.

The one other thing I noticed that during the powering off there is a slight hum and quiet pop sound. This I hadn't noticed before. The KA-3500 has a muting circuit that when unit is powered off the music fades over about a 8 to 10 second period. I've tested the circuit and everything seems to be within normal range but will replace the transistors, diodes, and resistors.

I have the schematics, basic tools, etc but am just starting to try and teach myself basic troubleshooting. Any suggestions on where I might look on vintage 1970 amplifiers would be much appreciated. If anyone also has suggestions on how to isolate things - suggested resources on troubleshooting, etc please offer.

see if it uses a relay to disconnect the speakers.
    then test it

Thanks for suggestion. Checked parts list as well as schematics and even google search. No relay in its circuits.

KENWOOD KA-701 POWERS ON, NO RELAY CLICK
        by rccrasher65
I'm looking for some help, sorting out a protection circuit fault on my Kenwood KA-701 integrated amp. The amp does turn on , but the relay don't click. It usually ends up being, a transistor, or cap on the protection circuit, DC offset problem. I can't read schematics real well, and the ones I have are really bad quality. There are no good quality one's I have found so far. Looking for some professional help. Blue Midnight helped me a lot in the laptop forums, but It's been a few yrs, like 6 or so. I don't even know if he's on here or if anyone does the amps, but any help navigating throught...

Repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A
        by h0m3w0rk
        Hello everyone,

I'm working on repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A bass subwoofer, and I need some help troubleshooting an issue with the power amplifier board. The board uses an IR2153 driver and originally had two SLW20N50C MOSFETs. Unfortunately, these MOSFETs burned out. I replaced them with two TK20J60W MOSFETs; however, these also failed almost immediately.

        Here are some details:
        • SLW20N50C (original):
          • Rated for 500 V
          • Typical RDS(ON): 0.21 Ω
          • Continuous Drain Current: 20 A at 25°C (13 A at 100°C)
          • Pulsed Drain Current: 80 A
          • Avalanche

Repairing Kenwood XR900-5 car audio amp. Can't identify missing part
        by mitsu2k
Hello folks, I am trying to repair this Kenwood XR900-5 power amp. Someone else had previously worked on this amp and tore off a transistor (Q982, pad and all) and I cannot identify what it was without a schematic or service manual. The one near it is an 2SCR533 NPN. I am wondering if the missing one is likely to be the same or a PNP? Can anyone make a good guess based on the photo?...
