Just wondering if anyone had the diagram so I can hijack the PCM signal from the built in dvd player and hook up a coaxial input to hook my pc into the Amp portion of the system.

Looks like it uses I2S (LRCK, MCLK, etc...) for the internal audio data, which is not compatible with conventional coax audio.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

You'll need an S/PDIF transmitter chip (with the associated circuitry) to make that happen

Hi.
I bought a Cheap HIFI to use as my PC output and speakers and forgot to check if it had an input. It doesn't.
Is there any way to add a stereo input. I have a bunch of Phono sockets I am not using.
Where in the circuit is the best place to solder the 3 stereo input wires?

So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:
1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.
2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not... -
Dear all,
I have this old radio clock by Sony from the early 80s, I guess. The clock display works, but is dim, the function board appears to be OK - but the radio unit shows no signs of life. It doesn't produce a single noise, crack or anything from either FM or AM band. It's like it doesn't even power up.
i opened the radio and it is full of some TRACON gray capacitors. They only have their negative strip printed, voltage and capacitace markings - no series, no temperature marking, nothing else.
My question is, do you know of this brand of capacitors and how bad are... -

Hello, I got this AVR for cheap and tried to fix it as a fun and learning project.
First the audio video receiver would turn on but had no sound at all, but no "PROTECT" message.
So, I opened the metal case and noticed some marks showing that some liquid has been spilled on the amp. Those water marks were found on the main board and the digital board.
I disassembled everything, then checked every single cap on every board of the amp and recapped when needed.
Also fixed A LOT of cold solder joints and also done some modifications,...
