    Technics amp n graphic...HELP..!!

    Hello i need help please.....
    I have a Technics SU-Z550 and
    SH-8055 Graphic Equalizer
My amp has lost power... lots.! its working but one channel is louder than the other, but the one which is louder still has lost a great deal of power.. it has three inputs CD/AUX-TUNER-PHONO. if use the cd/aux-tuner channel's then what i have just said above.. but if i use the Phono channel i get base but very distorded even at low volume and very very low treble.

Also my Graphic. it just doesnt work. it powers up but it doesnt do it function (boost sound) some of the channels of gone down too.. infact only one remains. also. it has a small graphic display that doesnt work. its either constently up or down. but mostly up..
any help you could offer would be of great use to me.. thankyou for your time..

    On youtube, this channel

    http://www.youtube.com/user/uxwbill

talks alot about repairing older audio equipment. Bill particularly likes Technics stuff and has a couple of videos showing how to repair them.

below the quick reply under each thread is a "go advanced" button. click on it.
then (on the new page), scroll down. there's an "Attach Files" section.

click the "manage attachments" button. in the popup window, you can upload pictures to the forum which will be attached to the post

When you click on Post Reply scroll down past the message window and click the Manage Attachments button. You can upload your pictures there.

The pictures must be 2000x2000 in resolution or smaller, i recommend the excellent free program IrfanView for performing the resize operation if the pics are too large from the camera.

              https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...5&postcount=12

If you are an infrequent visitor or a "one time" member you don't run into these things and annoyances that active members do. This lead me to make my sig file.

I know you didn't load any pictures. You did NOTHING wrong. You are just misinterpreting my signature file as a directive.

My signature file has the "Please post clear focused pictures using the manage attachments button. Please do not post inline as they slow down the loading of pages."

It is automatically attached to my first post in a new thread.

Think of when you send an email. Some people have a signature file that might say the following:

                  Sincerely yours,
                  John P. Smith

This saves them time from typing in those 2 lines each time.

PS. I edited my sig file so hopefully there is no confusion for future people.

old X58 triple channel board... memtest86 memory speed?
                    by eccerr0r
Anyone run memory speed tests with an old X58-based triple channel 1st gen or any other >2 channel board? The one I have is a Gigabyte I think.

Anyway I had four 4GB DDR3-1333 modules in the 6 memory slots and got around 11GB/sec memory speeds assuming that it went dual channel since it didn't have enough modules for triple channel. Now I stuck in two more 4GB modules, but they are DDR3-1600. I'm still getting 11GB/sec speeds according to memtest86...

Just wondering, anyone do memory speed analysis on these triple (and higher) channel memory boards? Are there any...

Reverse engineering of 18650 4-channel tester
                    by spleenharvester
                    Hi friends

I have reverse engineered this tester, schematic is attached and is complete except for capacitor values. These testers annoyingly have no model number but they are the ones you find on the first page of just about any website if you type in "18650 4-channel tester". There is also a 2-channel variant and a newer 8-channel variant. They are very cheap (about £15) and can measure voltage, current, internal resistance and capacity. They have a multicolour display for all these statistics. They also have terminal blocks so that if you want to use a breakout board...

HH Scott Model A510 Stereo Integrated Amplifier/ Graphic EQ - Blowing fuses in the LEFT speaker channel only. Any Help???
                    by Sik_6ty_Sixx
So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...

American Audio VLP1500 Distorting on one channel
                    by dicky96
Hi guys I have a VLP1500 amplifier here - one channels works fine and the other channel distorts even at low volume settings

Protection and Clip LED are off

There is something wrong with the BIAS voltages around T16 and T18 (in particular) on the bad channel

I tested all diodes and transistors in this area in circuit with diode mode - both channels seem identical. Same in resistance mode across all the resistors here.

The output DC voltages on pin1 and pin8 of the 5532D dual op amp at the input of each amplifier module are the same, and the audio...

                    Hi Guys
I have a customer who has two Hitachi TVs in his bar, one is the model in the thread title and the other is a larger screen but has the same setup menu

He also has an LG TV, so three screens in the bar

                    I installed three Satlink ST-6503 DVB-T Modulators

These connect to three satellite receivers via HDMI cables and then connect to a 4 way RF Amp that connects to the TVs on aerial cable. There is no incoming terrestrial antenna. I set the channel ID on the modulators to...
