    SONY TA-D905 no audio

I have a sony ta-d905, stored working, after a few years I turned it on and there is no more audio, indeed it is heard very low, from the speakers and headphones the result does not change.
Has anyone had experience with this amplifier?
What could I check to get an idea of what to do?

    Thanks

    Re: SONY TA-D905 no audio

Start cleaning all the buttons and knobs. Last time I had a no audio issue on an amp and the protect mode was not triggered, the problem turned out to be the tone select button.
You got to figure out on which stage you loose the audio. If the protect mode sent triggered, your problem is in the very early stages. Try using different inputs and settings…

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
      by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

Sony WH 1000XM4 Headphones always on because of corosion?
      by dbuergi
      Hi all,

i got these headphones which were not charging or powering on. I found some corosion around the charging port and power board. After cleaning the headphones took a charge but directly powered on.
The power button ist without any reaction. I suggest that there ist still some gunk under the button and i get an always power on. Do you have any suggestions what to do? Is it possible to desolder the button for a cleaning?
I could replace the board for 25 euros but maybe there is another way?

Vintage SONY Digital Clock Radio ICF-C12W no audio
      by UserXP
      Dear all,

I have this old radio clock by Sony from the early 80s, I guess. The clock display works, but is dim, the function board appears to be OK - but the radio unit shows no signs of life. It doesn't produce a single noise, crack or anything from either FM or AM band. It's like it doesn't even power up.
i opened the radio and it is full of some TRACON gray capacitors. They only have their negative strip printed, voltage and capacitace markings - no series, no temperature marking, nothing else.
My question is, do you know of this brand of capacitors and how bad are...

RCA WHP141 wireless headphones wired up
      by momaka
OK, this one dates back to 2015! I thought I had posted this, but realized I didn’t when I posted a picture of something else. So here it goes…

Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.

As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right! So let’s take...
