Hello everyone, I have this ups/inverter IGBT 1450VA which was working great until it started showing short circuit on a small lcd screen, I opened it up and started troubleshooting it and indeed I found some fault transistors, I decided to get rid of all of the transistors next to the shorted ones and it worked for some minutes without a problem, but then I heard a relay tripping off, and now it is showing that 2 batteries connected in series have no power at all, and if i disconnect the 24dc in then the battery are showing they are full (28vdc) with another inverter, they are working great no problem, I started to troubleshoot it again starting with the parts I replaced, they are okay, checked other included igbt (GW30NC120HD and G4PH40UD2) they're all fine, I am outta ideas, what else could be the problem here?
Need help with IGBT 1450va ups/inverter

by carrzkissHello, all.
Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.
I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
I quickly removed everything... -
by lostoneHello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.
First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...-

by mikkele86hello.
I have two power amplifiers, both having their IGBT blown on the PSU.
The original mounted IGBT where marked with IRGB20B60PD1PbF and the gate driver is a IR2156STRPBF.
I looked at mouser and digikey and could not find any available IRGB20B60PD1PbF and somehow ended up using a Bourns BIDW20N60T.
I replaced the gate driver, the gate resistor and both IGBT. But as soon power is turned on, both IGBT shorts out completely (gate, emitter, collector) and the fuse on the AC line gets killed.
So I though i missed a capacitor or diode. I removed... -
by howardc64Order my parts from mobilesentrix.com and iPhone batteries have been excellent. Recently got 3x bad A1534 (2015) batteries. All would work until ~30-40+% and drop to < 10% instantly. Typical sign of cheap batteries.
Perhaps the less popular A1534 model's aftermarket batteries are more source limited. Just find it surprising quality from mobilesentrix (usually fairly high quality aftermarket parts) have been so poor.
BTW, this isn't the only defective parts I've had from mobilesentrix. Amongst others including iPad Air touch screen and A1989 touch bar (display was... -
by SluggerBI have an old T60 where the display was showing the "red haze" indicating the CCFL was on its way out. Eventually it developed a condition where upon a fresh reboot the display would be fine for a few minutes, and then the back light would go out. Plugging an external display into the VGA port showed the laptop was still working fine.
I ordered a new screen, an AU Optronics 14.1" 30pin Matte LCD Screen B141XG09. I disassembled the laptop to prepare for the screen swap. When the screen showed up, the white plug was not the right kind to fit into my inverter. So I... - Loading...
