Kinda makes sense, Vin microsusb 5v output charging a tiny battery LX pin, 1.2v ish
Maybe I'll try same chip but different package
Even a different manufacturer should be fine as long as same pin layoutComment

He used the correct number ATU not A7U, I could not make out the pin style because they were covered by your tweezers
Another ic with the same marking (ATU) is MP1476GTF

Now it makes sense. 7 on bottom is much better then 7 on top. I'll keep it in mind to search for letters as well.Comment

This could be due to heating, breakdown inside the crystal, because of this, the "T" in the center was deformed.Comment
