Check all of the high amp fuses there was a time way back when they used fuse able link instead of a high amp fuse this much hard to find because they can be any where in the carLeave a comment:

Most likely under the hood near the battery
And a number will be on the top of the fuse or on one side of the fuse
They will not look like the lower amp fuses
I just got done installing a car stereo in a semi truck that the engineers thought it was cute to do all the speakers wire green including the power on all the time the ignition switch power the negative side was white
This only took about an hour for me to figure what wires went to what speaker plus the negative and positive side of each speaker and what wire was power on and the ignition switch power supply with out a wiring diagram but I have many years of experience doing troubleshooting and having the skills that are neededLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 10-01-2022, 06:02 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
Like I said earlier you need to have basic troubleshooting skills to able to do this troubleshooting
One note if this power is going through a relay there is a possibility that the contacts could be damaged because of the short that you seem to haveLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 10-01-2022, 05:49 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
You got a serious issue if you blew a 50 amp fuseLeave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
then why only those 3 fuses if the box is shorting to the chassis? note fuses are not blowing they get no powerLeave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
ok so the 50 amp is blown . f5 .. or k20 missing .Leave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
PN = negative side
50 Z = is your control power
50 A = is your positive sideLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 10-01-2022, 05:42 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
they are not blowing anymore because no power to themLeave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
Look at the relay it should show up the pins are with numbers on it tell you what is common normally open normally closed and if has more than one set of contacts
I am not trying to be mean but you should know how to test a relay and what the symbols are for a relay because if you do not you are going to have a very hard time trying to get this car running again
By me saying that if you have all the skills that you need it difficult enough troubleshooting issues like this to being with in the first place so you have to get the minimum amount of skills first before you can even being to troubleshoot this issue
Like Peterhall347 said in the post above you are going to have to find out why this fuse is blowing before you even being to figure out why this is happeningLeave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
i do this work to put food inside me . its good to have the wiring diagram . mostly i have to work without . some things can be fixed in 5 minutes even after someone else tried for hours first and they are fully trained on the machine . . i know i keep doing it . saying that it has to be totally stock to fix quickly or it can be hours to put things back where they go and finding the original broken wire etc .Leave a comment:

And I can tell you that unless the relay is shorting to ground it is not going to be the relay however you need to make a test light jig so you power the output side of the relay to see where you do not have power anymore
The first thing I would do is unplug everything that is on that circuit that is blowing fuses ( then remove the fuse and use the test light jig ) and plug in one device at a time and when your test light is very bright then you more than likely have found part of your problem but you might have more than one problem
When you can put a fuse in that does not blow and you have power across the fuse then you have made progress on the issue at hand
I hope this helps you with your issue that you are havingLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 10-01-2022, 05:35 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: 12v 1uo941243c Relay repairable?
k20 will be fine .its providing power to the fuses that are blowing . somewhere i suspect there is a short inside the wiring loom . or the fuse box is somehow shorting to the chassis .Leave a comment:

f34 .. Y102 Intake manifold air control solenoid
f32, Y3 Injector
f28,, M12 Fuel pump
looking like a crushed or burnt loom somewhere . cant see those 3 being shorted at same time .
those fuses get power from K20 Fuel pump relay . so that is at least partly working and probably just fine . .Leave a comment:

by caspianDear members,
I have a linear variable power supply with unknown brand name that I used for voltage injection.
Then it failed. I discovered that its transistors (Q1 and Q2) are shorted.
In addition, I discovered that its zener diodes are defective.
I can replace the burned transistors.
But I do not know the model of the zener diodes. the model number is not marked on the zener diodes.
Therefore, I cannot replace the zener diodes.
I do not want to test the zener diodes in a test circuit to discover their model or value.

by valvashonYesterday I successfully repaired a Middle Atlantic UPS2200R-IP that had inadvertently been used as a surge suppressor at our transmitter site. It has already been replaced with an updated one but it's coming home with me now instead of being e-cycled. To be specific, this is the MA model that has the blue backlit display and has been discontinued, although this design may have been used in many UPS units including the smaller Middle Atlantic ones in this series.
Here's what happened: We experienced a brownout/surge at the site, which damaged the UPS and took our broadcasting... -
by sam_sam_samI was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board
Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that... -
by CrystaleyesFirst off,
Happy New Year everyone!
Someone recently asked me to look at their Philips 42pfl4508g/78 TV which had stopped working.
A quick visual check of the PSU revealed a ceramic cap with a hole burnt through it, and that the output voltages were wonky. The 5.2v Standby was only 3.2v. The 24v - 19.1v and the 12v - 11.2v. We found a cheap 'guaranteed working' replacement PSU online, which they bought and installed but it still the TV didn't switch on, and when I went back to test the new PSU board, it showed the same kind of low output voltages.... -
Hi folks. As the title says, I was doing a port replacement on a Lenovo Thinkpad T480s and in the process of post-solder cleaning, I somehow knocked off 2 or 3 diodes (i think they are diodes) near the main usb-c. I can't seem to find what kind of a diode is that. I know it's ultra tiny and just has a letter "G" on it. Would someone maybe have a proper schematic for the t480s model? I can only find the non-s one and it's quite different to the "s". Would love to figure out what component that is.
Thanks in advance!... - Loading...
