    What is this SOT23-5

I have a home decorator fan that use DC motor
In the controller there is what i believe some kind of power regulator in an SOT23-5 format
I receive 170vdc that comes from the 120vac rectified
It has as few components around like resistor and capacitor and diode
On the top it has the letter IAFAK and in the bottom says C278
Any idea what is that? I would like to find the data sheet for it

Moding a 120vAC smps to work with 220vAC
        by madan1
        Hello everyone.
So basically the question is in the title - is it possible to mod a 120vAC switching mode power supply unit to work with 220-240vAC?
The particular unit is the one from the photos.

It looks like someone ignored the 120vAC label and plugged it in 240vAC. According to the user - "it every time tripped the fuse".
The only visible damage is the high voltage smoothing cap, which has vented quite energetically ( everything above it is sprayed with goo ), but did not explode.
The thru-hole components on the primary side measure fine...

Samsung UN60EH6000 wont come on after lightning strike.
        by karthur
We had a lightning strike a few days ago really close to my house. My Samsung UN60EH6000 was on when it hit. Afterwards, the TV would not come back on.

I had repaired this TV a few years back by replacing the T-Con board. (The post I had on this is repair is here.)

When I turn on the TV, I don't get any start-up melody. The screen just dimly flickers around the edges.

Here is what I have checked.
On the power supply board, 14pin connector:
        1 :12.7 Vdc
        3 :12.7
        5 :12.7
        7 :12.7
        9 :0
        11 :5.
        13 :5....

        Using Kynar 30AWG for 120VAC
        by eccerr0r
        I saw this and

Granted this looks like a homebrew and at least 30AWG wire should fuse on its own if it shorts out......

Stagg sms12p audio amp has water damage
        by edugimeno
Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...
