High pressure sodium yard light that when on-off syndrome

Yeah high pressure sodium yard light has been having a on/off syndrome that has gotten worse and spending more and more time off than on

These light fixtures have this item in them

    K1200E70 LITTELFUSE Thyristor Surge Protection Devices 90V 20A 2-Pin

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/10PCS-K1200...O/322603282024

This part has become obsolete and very hard to find but I was able to find an eBay seller that had some which I bought some and now my yard light is back working again with out the on/off syndrome

I have repaired them before for this problem but I was able to find some of them here until DigiKey runs out of them

It seems to be a current littlefuse product, and Digikey stocks 1,489 of them, Mouser has 2,703. Order 100 of them. It is a SIDAC, likely used to trigger a triac/scr

Re: High pressure sodium yard light that when on-off syndrome

I have seen some web site that are showing them being obsolete so I am not sure if it will be come obsolete so I going to have on hand probably about 30 should last me a long time

I see that DigiKey shows the part active so I guess I am alright for the time being

Yes if you have one of these high pressure sodium yard light and it has a white plastic case that has three wires and circuit board you have changed the bulb and you still have the on/off syndrome then replace this part and that should stop it from having this problem

I hope this helps some one

High Pressure Sodium Yard light when air conditioner turns light momentarily turns of
        by sam_sam_sam
I have had these 70 watt high pressure sodium yard lights for many years now probably at least 15 years or more and there is a protection diode that after several years starts to go bad and when it does this it has momentarily shutting down the light and then a few minutes later it starts working again

This about the forth time I have fixed this one and you can tell if it the diode or not if it lights up and it only shuts down when the air conditioner turns on then it is the diode

If it cycling on and off constantly then it is the bulb itself that is the issue

Found this pic on Reddit, cap looks like a plastic housing electrolytic? with big rubber bung at the end.

60 watt LED Yard Light with 12 volt Boost Convertor
        by sam_sam_sam
I bought this 60 watt LED Yard Light about month ago
I want it to run off batteries

With the boost controller set at 39 volts @ 1.5 amps the LED Yard Light is not quite as bright as it would be with the power supply that came with it but this is alright if I were to set it for the same exact light output the amperage would be about 2.5 amps the batteries would not last very long on a charge or I would have a lot bigger battery pack

I going to use some 5 amp hour batteries for this yard light that I had bought about year for this project li-ion batteries pouch...

        Simeple ACF TAB/COF bonding pressure?
        by james28909
I have came up with a design in my head for a lever action hot bar press. You can buy a lever style press and modify it slightly to easily achieve a lot of downwards force. You can use a scale to calibrate what lb force any certain position of the lever.

But what I am trying to figure out is this - the ACF that I am debating buying is rated for 2 Mpa at ~200C for 20 secs. When converting Mpa to PSI I get around 290-300 PSI.

The head of the machine, the hot bar, will have a much smaller area than square inches. So my question is if you have a hot bar head that has an area...

Trying to revive a NINJA OL501Foodi 14-in-1, 6.5-QT Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid
        by KYBOSH
Found another appliance to experiment on.

        https://support.ninjakitchen.com/hc/...4-OL500-Series

Previous owner complained that it would power on but the heating element, located in the lid, would not heat up. Customer support told them there is no replacement parts for it.

Will try to figure out what's what shortly.

Anything i should keep an eye out for?...
