Identifying SMD components

Hi Guys,
With the use of SMD components in everyday electronic devices how do we go about identifying what they are. I am not talking so much about transistors but rather the coil and capacitor identification. Usually there is only a color between the two metal connection on either side. Anybody know?

Sparkle 1200W PSU MAGNA Model: SPM1200AXJ8 - Broken. Need help identifying components. Any schematics available?

My Sparkle (SPI) PC power supply has broken. Originally, there was totally no power output. The 5V-standby was not there. I have replaced a few bulged capacitors but not helping.

I was trying to do more troubleshooting but burned more components. Some got burned so badly that the markings were gone. And also, the markings of a few transistors were gone because the component surface was worn out somehow.
If you happened to have disassembled the same PSU model, please help to provide the markings of some of these components.

Need help identifying components HP EliteBook 840 G3

Hello Guys,

Can you please help me identify these components from the motherboard. I saw a similar topic, but it was for HP840 G4 (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...arging-problem) Are those described there the same components?

In the first picture, I have circled in red the burned components. It was due to short switching positive with negative. Probably the motherboard will not work, but I can try to repair it. It is a laptop for experiments,...

Asus UX7602Z Liquid Damage - schematics or help with components identifying required

Hi, I received a Liquid Damaged Asus UX7602Z for repair. I've cleaned the motherboard and found couple of damaged components. Two of them (near the battery connector) I can't identify. One is a resistor of unknow value, and the other one is probably a transistor. Laptop won't charge the battery without them. Please see the pictures and help with components identifying. I couldn't find any schematics or boardview for this laptop.

Laptop model: Asus UX7602Z
Motherboard: UX7602ZM, R2.1
