What amp smt fuse is ???

Hello
Can you help please, I have a fuse to replace but I do not know what Amp it is,
Its from a proview 780 monitor lcd, Its at DC input socket and has input of 12v 4A.
It is stamped FT on it, can you help me out please.

Something doesn't add up. According to some information I found, FT would be a .5 Amp time delay fuse. However, that doesn't make sense for the input fuse on an LCD monitor. I'd expect a 3 - 5 Amp fuse.

It sounds like it's the same as the Pico fuses Bill. Not the main fuse, but on the output side or in-circuit protection. 500 mA would sound right. I'd put an ammeter on it and if it's working correctly, choose an appropriate value from that.

Sorry cant post picture (dont know how)
I have 4 Proveiw 780,s with same fuse so they are standard in this monitor,
This fuse is the first component off the DC connector,then from fuse to a 30v power trench mosfet,
and another unidentified IC.

I have done one on a HP F1703 Monitor that was 6.5 Amp

Size of fuse = 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 mm, ( Approx ) its makeup is clear resin with what look like a metal running through it

Pictures -

-Dump them from your cam into a folder of your creation in My Documents
-run them through any picture modification software you might have (Photoshop etc.)
-use the Manage Attachments button under Additional Options when you reply or make a new post
-click on the Browse button in the pop-up window to go to the folder on your computer where you put them
-select the file and click the Open button
-repeat above 2 steps for each additional photo
-now click Upload button
-Voilà! You picture now appears as an attachment
-files need to be less than about 190kb in size

That sounds exactly like the Littlefuse SMD fuse I replaced on an inverter. I checked one of Littlefuse's datasheets on their fuse line and didn't find FT listed. Which means either you got the letter code wrong, I didn't read the datasheet correctly, or Littlefuse didn't make that fuse.

OK, we can eliminate one possibility. I double checked with Littlefuse's site and they do not have a SMD fuse with a FT marking. I also established that Cooper-Bussmann doesn't.
