    Capacitors in schematic question

Are the first two caps connected differently than the rest in this row or is it merely a space savor for the schematic to draw the rest like that?

Or are the rest tied in together in parallel? Just looks weird to me

the first 2 are caps, the others are filters.

As in filter caps? I'm trying to locate a short on one of the caps on that rail

it's a ceramic cap with 4 pins - 2 of them are ground.

        are they nec/tokin prodalizers?

Why 4 pins? Can you explain difference between regular caps? I'm not sure what type they are. Don't think I've run across them before. They're super tiny on an iPhone board

            Re: Capacitors in schematic question

you can get caps that are like a ceramic block with a signal connection on each end connected together across the cap, and earth connections on the sides.
they are used for filtering signals usually.

I see. That GPU line supposed to have at least 1v on it but it's missing tried running a jumper from CPU line which is 1v to cap c0466 but still phone doesn't boot.

U0201 POP-FIJI-1GB-DDR-B0 is A 1gb RAM inside CPU. 1v on the cap c0466 which is Data line voltage, u need to use oscilloscope to see the waveform.

Power Supply IC PM8019 Chip for iPhone 6 which is the one u need to trouble shooting.

Are you saying I can only see the 1v with an oscilloscope or it should be there visible with a voltmeter?

Also schematic says vcc main should be 4.6v but I only measure 4.2v. Wonder if pmu chip partly shorted causing that

                    Re: Capacitors in schematic question

In the circuit diagram Power Supply IC PM8019 Chip use 5 sections of circuit diagram to explain the function of this chip.

Sorry! about the picture,I cant upload modified PDF file,so I did as you took picture over monitor. .

pic1 is all the system diagrams all put together.
In the circuit diagram use SYM 1,2,3,4,5 of 5 to show it.

in your posted fist picture, show A 1gb RAM inside CPU U0201 on SYM 15 of 15 mean last page. So the U0201 has 15 system diagrams.

low resistance voltmeter will drop the signal and 1v mean peak to peak voltage. so you can't do this ( running a jumper from CPU line).

Also schematic says vcc main should be 4.6v but I only measure 4.2v. Wonder if pmu chip partly shorted causing that

If there has a short, at somewhere in the circuits will drop to 0v.

So is it possible the 1v IS there I just can't see it without a scope?

It's only voltage that I was missing when checking the output voltages of the PMU. The phone is only drawing 50ma when turned on but a properly working phone draws more around 80ma-1a

So pm8019 is different than the bigger PMU chip u1202? I thought that was responsible for power?

Water damage is unpredictable. from 4.6v to 4.2v and current from 80ma to 50ma mean partially working, most likely is data or address lines shorted cause some chips is not working, it could happen to anywhere because data and address lines are parallel together. , if pmu chip partly shorted will causing more current reading but not on the data or address lines .

                                          Hello guys.
Recently i finished my first restoration in a 61 years old tube reel to reel recorder (Geloso G258) .
Thanks God the process ended positively and the recorder works again very good.

In this process i met a big problem by trying to figure what value in capacitors to use.

I say this because all the capacitors excluded the electrolitic had different values from the capacitors in the sassi !!!
Not one or two capacitors. It's about 12 capacitors !!!
For sure i have the correct schematic.

At the end i have used...

Schematic vs. Reality: Where Are the Resistors on My Sharp Clock Radio? Model FY-70CH
                                          by TinkerTron
                                          Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
                                          The schematic...

                                          Acer x163w Monitor PSU schematic

Ii wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Acer x163w monitor which is not powering up. The PSU main capacitor's one leg had completly come off - I replaced it but the PSU is still not outputting DC. I found the monitor in questions service manual here on manuals lib but the schematic in there is a completely different - the schematic shows no mosfet to drive the transformer while the one I have does use a mosfet - also the schematic shows only one optocoupler but mine has two.
The PSU board is labelled FM-20A02-AAA made by APD as per the image below. I am trying to find a schematic for this...

AA and AAA battery charger capacitors?
                                          by slybunda
hey all, iv got my favourite battery charger here which iv had for many years probably 15 years now or maybe even more. it still works good but thought id open it up to clean the dust out of it, lots of dust inside but now its clean and noticed 4 capacitors inside it and wondered if i should replace them.
                                          it has inside:
                                          2 x 47uf 16v caps 105c branded as Su'scon (lol sounds sus to me)
                                          2 x 470uf 16v LZ105c branded as G.Luxon

not heard of these brands are they any good?

iv attached photos of the charger and the board inside for an idea on the type of...
