B22 PIR Motion Sensor LED Light Bulb

PIR BC B22 LED Motion Sensor Presence Detector Light Bulb. Indoor Use Only.
    Voltage: 240 Volts
    Bulb Wattage: 2.4w. 32 LEDs.
    Colour Temperature: 3000K Warm White
    Measurements: Height 70mm x Diameter 50mm
120° Beam Angle. Activated within 5m.
Long Life: Up to approx. 30,000 Hours.

I have had this in use for 21 months, its probably been on for only 2 minutes every night for the 21 months.

Now it wont work properly, the LED'S just flicker when the light is tripped by the PIR.

It's only a cheap thing to replace but i don't like chucking things out if i can fix them

The caps look ok to me. The resistor looks a bit scorched in the middle.

Do the LED'S flickering on and off point to the two rectifiers being the main suspects ?

I would confirm that the supply to the BISS0001 IC is stable. I would also trace out the circuit around the two MCR100-6 SCRs and the string(s) of LEDs. There is an application circuit in the BISS0001 datasheet.

Lift Master Garage Door wall switch display / motion sensor controller display disappeared no back light
        by sam_sam_sam
This happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors

I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using

I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed

The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well

I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the...

SecurityMate Model SMWMS2 Wireless Motion Sensor
        by ADV
        Good day

I have a battery operated remote controlled wireless motion sensor that is not outputting an alarm when the unit is triggered via motion.
It uses 3 X 1.5V AA batteries in series. When arming and disarming the unit, the piezo does beep once(armed) and beep twice(disarmed).
When measuring the output directly on the PIR sensor(Digital Intelligent Passive Infrared Sensor AM312), its output goes high(3V) for about 2 seconds when waving my hand above it, then drops low again.
So it looks like the PIR sensor is functioning correctly.
        The unit also...

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

        LUMIMAN Smart Bulb IC ID?
        by ezenia
        Hi,

I have a LUMIMAN Smart Bulb that suddenly stopped lighting one day. The bulb is still detected in the app, but won't light. I've probed around and nothing seems to look off with any of the diodes, caps or resistors. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module seems to be working as it's still detected in the app. I even tried deleting and re-pairing the bulb (it didn't light, but I was still able to follow the pairing instructions), it re-paired fine, but still no light.

In diode mode, the LEDs all light up when probed so I'm guessing this means the LEDs themselves are OK. I was expecting...

AcuRite 5 in 1 temperature sensor replacement repair
        by CapLeaker
        Got a new victim:

AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40? It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.

Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...
