    Thermistor ??

    Hum... guys i had Samsung LCD monitor ...and i found out its cannot powered on.... im suspecting its the thermistor model SCK-2R55A ( 2.5ohm 170*c) i tested it with ohm meter and found its confuse to test sometime 2.8ohm sometime 4 and 5ohm ....i think its shorted... any idea ??

    The resistance does seem lower than it should be based on it's spec, but this will not keep it from being powered on, you have some other problematic part, not that.

    If the power board is separate from the panel board, and if it looks like it has a load resistor on it for the primary output, try powering it while disconnected from the display and inverter board and measure the voltage.

    What I would do next is unplug the inverter (CCFL driver) board (if separate) then try turning the monitor on. See if it appears to stay on and with video input and a strong light shining upon it you might see if there is anything displayed. Keep in mind the inverter circuit produces high voltage, handle with caution.
