    Synology DS218

    Hi everyone,
This morning I noticed my Synology nas doesn’t turn on, opened it up and saw this component in a rather bad state next to 3R3 inductor, there are some shorts further down but maybe it’s this part. I need some help with identifying and trying to replace it, if it’s possible to find it

What are the markings on U215? Maybe its datasheet will give us a clue.

Is that a QFN that only has pads on 3 of the 4 sides?

I wonder if you can find the piece that blew off, it may still have the part number on it...

I found a second device to look it up, part says MPJH 8632 197 E6, sadly no luck finding this part anywhere. Any help would be appreciated thanks

How interesting, I have not seen an IC with this package style before

              Synology DS218+ no power
              by H1ghl4nd3r
This has same issue as the ds718+ no power and greened light stays on with new power supply
I'm going to change the 2032 cmos and see if this does anything, as the visual inspection did not pick up any holes in this chips on this motherboard.

There is a suspect place I noticed on pic 3, it looks out of place
Edit: Also found this on the U3 chip pic 4 and used microscope on pic 5

There are quite a few posts on this model again doing the same no power or it shuts down overnight, most seem to be the power supply but as mentioned this is...

Help identifying AMCH073 regulator or finding a compatible replacement
              by taurtnt
              Hi everyone,
I’m trying to identify a step-down regulator marked AMCH073. It’s used on the PEX power rail of a graphics card. I can’t find any datasheet or info online.
              Here’s what I’ve observed:
              • It has a QFN-16 footprint, similar to NB670.
              • Pins 1, 2, 15, 16 are connected together and go to the inductor, so likely SW (switch node).
              • Pin 9 is connected to GND, which doesn’t match NB670 (where pin 9 is SW).
              • Pin 8 also seems to be tied to the same GND plane.
              • The chip only says AMCH073, no manufacturer logo or other markings....

Lenovo S145 -15iwl vcore inductor warm.. looking with oscilloscope there is a spike.
              by Bartoloni
Hi, i have a Lenovo S145 that after 20 seconds shutdown and restart (it's working correctly on thse 20 seconds)
everything seems ok, but on Vcore inductor ( this is an i3 with just 1 switching power supply for CPU)

there is an output to teh CPU with a spike.. seems that inductor can't handle the input...
replaced the capacitor (330) and the inductor (R15) without any change
              any idea? very thank you!

input of the inductor seems as usual... only strange thing is that the upper/lower voltages seems to be 21V (main power line is 19.3) ... but not sure this...

Liquid damaged macbook A1466 fan spins, but doesn't turn on.
              by redbaron1007
I got a tricky one today in the form of a macbook air A1466 820-00165-A that will recognize the charger and turn the light green then back to orange and the fan will spin constantly, but the system won't power on. The screen never turns on, it doesn't make the bong noise it's supposed to, and pressing the power button doesn't do anything. When I took the board out to visibly inspect it I only found one spot of corrosion on the bios IC. I pulled the chip, cleaned it and the area with IPA and put fresh solder on both and put the bios chip back on, but when I went to test it again it still does the...

              How to read inductor specs?
              by badcap111
I have a broken samsung galaxy s10 with missing inductor. I want to replace the missing inductor and I have found some vendors. But I don't understand how to read the specifications of the inductor. The specs are:

              INDUCTOR-SMD;470NH,20%,2520,T0.8,0.029OH

I understand that the inductor is 470 nH with 20% margin, and the size is 2520 or 1008 (imperial measure), but what do T0.8,0.0290OH mean? I can't find any explanation on the web.
