Help On finding the right Relay...

I know this isnt the typical stuff everyone here deals with but I'd thought I'd ask and see if I could get some help.

So a friend of my asked me to replace the relays on this board for his welder, HE did the research to figure out what was wrong and asked me to replace them because I have more soldering exp than he does. Both of us have been trying to find the right relays using the part # on them but seem to be coming up empty. I'm thinking the number is proprietary to MILLER. I am posing a few pics of the boards along with the specs. I believe I may have found the right ones but not sure

    http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...wUsm0ZLw%3d%3d

    Specs for the Relays:

5 Solder Pins on the back of the board
    Part #: NT90RHCS24CB
    NO:30A/240VAC/14VDC
    NC:20A/240VAC/14VDC
    DC24V
    50/60Hz

Thanks for any help I can get on this subject.

That looks like a compatible replacement to me (without knowing the pin spacing on the original it's hard to tell if it'd be a straight drop-in replacement though).

Thanks I did see that site BUT there's a $50 minimum no matter what...

How do I measure pin spacing? If I have to I will de-solder 1 and measure them.

It's probably one of these :

Same part but one may have better drawings.

It wouldn't hurt to double check the distances between pins before ordering something.

The mouser one will probably fit, and seems to be the right type.

Thanks I Will pull one off tomorrow and measure it just to make sure it matches up before I order them.

Where did you find the data sheets for the ones you posted? they are better than the mouser one by far.

Re: Help On finding the right Relay...

The only thing that bugs me about the relay you linked from Mouser is that the contacts are only rated for 20A at 28VDC, not 30A. You may find that the contacts weld closed at peak current.

One of the data sheets mariushm linked seems to go up to 40A at 28VDC.

Ok Thanks guys I think I may have this thing figured out......I Hope..lol

According to the part # on the relays i have " NT90RHCS24CB"

breaks down Like this ( according to the pdf NT_90_2 Elysarian Posted)

                NT90- Part No
                R-Without pin 6
                H-30Amp
                C-Contact arraignment 1C(SPDT(B-M)
                S-Sealed
                24- for 24VDC
                C-Contact Material-AgCdO
                B-Resist Heat Class 130C

So would this one be a better choice then?

Re: Help On finding the right Relay...

                  Your original has:
Normally Open (N.O.) contact rating @30A/240VAC/14VDC
Normally Closed (N.C.) contact rating @20A/240VAC/14VDC
                  The TE has lower raring.
This AMERICAN ZETTLER > NT90RHCS24CB may be custom made for this welder. The site does not have this on their web site.
http://www.azettler.com/ you may try contacting them to see what they recommend.

It's probably too late now, but did you test the relays before buying the replacements? I'm always sceptical when somebody approaches me and says "I know what's wrong with it cos I googled it".
