What is this component on our boot dryer?

Can anyone tell me what this component is with the green end? It is hooked to what looks like a bunch of coils on our boot dryer/glove dryer. The device doesnt seem to heat boots anymore. The fan still spins. The coils seem to get warm but should they get red hot? How do i test this component and how do i find out the value of it?

      1. This is thermal fuse, and breaking temperature value is labeled on him... may be say 150 deg celisius or so, and when ambient temperature reach this point it break the circuit for safety protection. You can measure it if is still conducting, about 0 ohm if it is ok, else is bad.
For heating boot imho, the spirals should not be red hot, not even close to that temperature, because heat excess can damage boot...

I make this device from regulary fan hair dryier without any heater engageing, and work very well.

Anyway, after the device is on for a couple of minutes, it seems to produce sufficient heat. We are starting to believe the fan is not spinning fast enough now. She said normally the air is blowing out more where the boots go. Can a fan have reduced speed? There are no noises or anything coming from it and it seems to spin freely.

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
          by privato89
          Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

          Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...

Xiaomi router freezes at boot after re-capping
          by hinisa
I'm using Xiaomi Router 4A gigabit edition as wireless repeater. It worked fine for 2 years or so, but last week, wireless started to disappear.

When I unplug/replug the power, it was working fine for a day/half a day or so until it freezes again.

After testing with different power supply adapters and concluding it wasn't the issue I finally opened the case and this was the situation:

Anyway I proceed to clean up the mess and replace all caps but unfortunately it made the situation worse. Now router can't even boot, either it freezes during...

Samsung un82ru88000f - Boot loop sort of but can correct with taping of LVDS ribbon
          by NolesFan
Hello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...

Samsung 55" TV - Boot loop but sometimes works fine - UE55MU6470U
          by torchzack
Hi Team - just joined to see if anyone can offer some expertise in diagnosing an issue with a TV.

I've done a few hours googling and youtubing but just seeing if anyone has any insight here. I got a 55" Samsung UE55MU6470U which seems to boot loop and then after 10 mins will boot, work for a few minutes, then turn off and repeat.

Whilst it's on into the normal Samsung menu/boot screen it looks perfect - so I can't see there being any screen issues. I've seen lots of videos with taping across clock lines to diagnose which particular one may be an issue but i don't...
