Hello, to all, i want to ask somebody for help........can transistor NTE2653 replace with 2SA608N/2SC536N. For your information this part use for Toshiba lcd tv. Here i attach the datasheet

No. The NTE2653 is a bigger part - its power dissipation 1W (Ic=3A) and the 2SA608 is a smaller 0.5W part (Ic=0.15A). It's okay to go bigger but not smaller with power transistors.

Wow a lot of confusing posts recently...
Just wanted to make sure this is clear, the NTE2653 "matched pair" can replace the 2SA608N/2SC536N complementary pair because the NTE can handle more current - if the circuit that's using them was there to supply current to downstream devices. However the gain bandwidth product might not be high enough to completely replace the 2SA/2SC pair. Also the output of the NTE is more capacitive than the smaller, faster 2SA/2SC pair.

The reason why I find it confusing is because NTE is a replacement not first source semiconductor provider. For mass produced hardware I find it very unlikely to have NTE devices in it. Yes, pulling out the NTE devices and soldering in new 2SA/2SC device pair likely will result in fried 2SA/2SC devices...

Hello all, finally i replaced the transistor NTE2653 with 2SD1347, but the problem still cant solve,....Actually this part use in power supply section, and this lcd tv model is Toshiba 40av700e,......the problem is when I switch on the tv it will show display and sound for about 2-3 minutes and then blank without sound but stanby led still light. I testing psu board, their stanby 5v present but no voltage for 13v pin. Here's how i test this psu, disconnect this psu board from Tcon board, LVDS and backlight. this 2 pin(5v & 13v) output i load with 10w bulb each, then 5v pin connect using 10 kohm resistor to power_tv pin and switch on the power (240vac). Below is a picture of the psu and voltage that i've test.

Can we see good clear pictures of the the whole board, both sides?
10K for forcing on pin is too high (@5v, the most you are going to get is 0.5mA), not enough to turn on the Opto or the transistor, try 1K.

So did you try using 1K resistor? That P CH MOSFET for the switched 13V output is not being turn on, the Gate voltage is still sitting at 15V, it should be closed to 2V to turn on that MOSFET.

The 0.7V looks like the Vbe voltage of the transistor.
BYW, the 2SC transistor that you replaced, was the old one bad? I cannot tell from the circuit as what that transistor is used for. Hard to trace out the connections.

Are you sure this PSU is for Toshiba TV? It is made by Samsung.
Any BN44 number to search for schematics?

Yes the old one transistor i I've replaced is problem, there's short circuit between all pin, multimeter reads zero ohm for all combinations test.

Yes tom66 this PSU make for Toshiba TV, it has no BN44 serial no, you can search using this no PSIV231i01T.
