    About power supply troubleshoot technic

I just think is there any right way to predict defective components just by knew the result when PSU failed?
I means that is there any way the best troubleshoot practicing when we just know for example, one PSU is failed, no voltage, and fuse has burnt. we can know from the burnt fuse that is maybe a short diode on the primary or power transistor.

so when i facing the other's problem likes no voltage, but the fuse, diode none shorted. what is the best way to find faulty one? or has voltage, but the voltage out of range each rails.. what is the faulty one? anyone know what is the best site to learn about that??

Another way to learn is to get the spec sheet and App notes of the ICs used in what ever you are working on.

what is means App notes? is that means the IC datasheet?

it just a promotion about the book. yeah i know what are you thinking about me, just a crazy man wanna a free course. but i am not a repairer by fee. just a hobby. maybe i have to get the book instead of thinking freely course or advice.

What he means by spec sheet would be the datasheet for the devices. Sometimes datasheets may have sample applications on how to use their products as part of a circuit. Other times this may be part of a separate document called an Application Note.

aha!! i got it.. i just asking because i don't ever see or download that App Note. i know that is very small chance that someone expert wanna teach you his knowledge by free of course. i have to makes an effort learning about that with otodidac ways. thank you for everyone's advice and suggest

With regards to individual components...I have found the datasheets and application notes extremely helpful. They are filled with heaps of useful information. I guess the manufacturer's of the IC/component want to make it known what their devices are capable of and how to use them. However once these are assembled as part of a circuit or a device..I have found that most datasheets do not provide anywhere near as much useful information and they expect you to treat their device like a black box more or less.

One very good datasheet that I used many years ago to make a stepper motor drive was for the L297 and L298N IC's. They provide sample circuits on how you can build a steeper motor drive within the datasheet. They are attached.

yeah. u are very right.. sometimes any manufacture's didn't ever have a datasheet and application notes. i just think that there are wanna said and write on their device "hey, buy the new one if your device failed !! don't ever try to repair it." but the other's has a good responsibility and give an advice on their datasheet. u can find LM3886 Gainclone Amplifier have a schematic insidely !! this is very useful and good.. that is surely name as "datasheet" not just a bullshit around their information.

You can Google "Application notes for xxxxxx", or "xxxxxx application notes" Since more than one companies will make the same device, some company may have app notes, but other may not put one out.

sometimes i just think that i have to increase my english skill for understanding many concept on science. u know that is sometimes feel difficult to understand english on science explanation because that i am not a english user fluently..

also on their application notes or datasheet has a really high concept about science so i have to crack my mind and need a few seconds to understand it..
