    ti-nspire with bad lcd screen

Has anybody ever tried to fix the lcd of a calculator? is it even repairable? the reason I'm asking is because I can still see the numbers in the background were the paint came off, so I'm thinking maybe separate the lcd layers and repaint the spot??? It may sound silly but who knows. Anyways I'm thinking of replacing the screen but thought I should ask first.

I've tried many methods of restoring LCD screens. I've never attempted to split the glass layers apart because if you do that, the liquid crystal will spread all over the glass, I think. But I have repainted the reflective silver paint on the back of some LCD assemblies.

Btw, no method I tried ever worked so I gave up.
