Ok - On the little board your holding what is on the other side of it - picture?

Looks like the power in socket and battery connector on one half - what is on the other? Which is the main on/off switch

Re: Dead Hello Kitty Karaoke Sanrio machine

i am enclosing a picture to help explain what i measured.........and what i thought you were asking me to measure.......

With the batteries "in" and outputting 9.5VDC......i made the followingmeasurements (see enclosed pic):

    I measured DC voltage between
    Pins 1 and 2: Measured 0V
    Pins 3 and 4: Measured 0V
    Pins 5 and 6: Measured 0V
    Pins 6 and 7: Measured 0V

i have not measured the diodes yet.........i will do that next. Question on measuring the diodes.......i assume i make the measurement with the batteries in place......do i just make a "resistance" measurement across each diode......should both diodes be on and thus low resistance............let me know

also, if there is another measurement you would like let me know

OK -so what voltage have you got on the red and black socket on the big board.
What have you got on the red black and white? is that the lead from the switch?

    hi,

yes there are 6 "C" batteries.

I am holding the pcb board where the power comes-into.......i can take more pictures of this if you wish

i measure 9.5V DC on the board where it comes in......but then i lose it........

i tried the switch and i think its ok......i will try and take pictures of it and how i meausred it.

    9.5v how many batteries? 6?

What is that part you are holding?

Is the 9.5 measured where it goes on to the board?

Tried the on off switch? Ohm it - see if it works

    Bigger picture of the board?

Dead Hello Kitty Karaoke Sanrio machine

Hi, My daughters Hello Kitty Karaoke (Made by i think Sanrio) machine no longer works. I cant find the AC adapter that goes with the machine but it does accept batteries so i tried that.......output from the batteries is ~ 9.5V DC.

I put the batteries in and ......nothing...........i am enclosing pics of where the batteries go to..............any suggestions or just throw this in the trash..........i thought that since it appeared dead that i might be able to fix it........and besides is like $70 for a new one.

Transformer replacement for a dead coffee machine
    by double_DD
    Hi guys,

I have a dead coffee machine, and it seems that the culprit (no 1, at least) is a dead trafo - primary coil seems to be blown open (type shown on the picture below).

Now, I'm unable to find direct replacement anywhere on ebay or aliexpress, and all similar that I' was able to find are rated too low (<1A).

If someone knows a shop to buy replacement (EU/CH), that would of course be my 1st option.
    My other ideas:
    - to buy 220/20Vac trafo with 30VA, and to "manually" create secondary 12V output just via resistor
    - to buy...

    Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
    by carrzkiss
    Hello, all.

    Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
    I quickly removed everything...

Janome DC3050 Sewing Machine Pedal Resistance
    by CG2
OK, this is a long shot. I got this sewing machine cheap because it's end of line, ex-display, and had no pedal. The genuine pedal costs £60, while Ebay knock-offs go for around £15. So I went for the knock-off, it doesn't work, and I'm not sure whether it's the pedal or the sewing machine that has the problem.

Now this is an electronic machine, unlike the old fashioned sort where the pedal was a big resistor in series with the power to the motor. Here, the pedal is just (I think) a variable resistor fed with a 5 volt supply, and limited to a current of 5 milliamps. Assuming that...
