Re: Need new part for microwave
no i dont want to pay ~ $50 for the "/" part since i can buy a brand new microwave for ~ $150.........
But paying say $15 for a part and seeing if this works is fine.......so i may do this but only if the "non /" part is the same as the one that has the "/"..........
any idea why it has the "/" on some parts and not on others?

Re: Need new part for microwave
quick question for you all.
Do you think the "/" in the 160/ is important. The reason i ask is i have found some replacements where what is shown on the "lid" has the 160 but no "/"
i finally found the actual part number and its WB27X11210
https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WB27X11210
if you go on ge's web site and sure enough this part , which is kinda expensive relative to how much a new machine costs, has the "/" .......so i am...

Re: Need new part for microwave
ok so i shorted the thermal switch and power returned to microwave........so thats the good news.
so now i am trying find the part. i prefer not to use ebay just because its ebay and i have had issues with it in the past. i have also had really good experiences but when they are bad its hard to get money back. anyway, i was wondering if its possible to identify the manufacturer for the KSD1 160 part?
Any ideas?

Need new part for microwave
Hi, my microwave quit working today after my daughter made something and i think i found the problem. i am enclosing a few pics of what i "THINK" is a thermal fuse.......it has "KSD1" .....and "160/" on the front of it....but i am not sure what this means or where to buy it.
when i measure across this device it measures an "open" so i and i think it should be a short......
thoughts on where i can get a replacement device?
thoughts on if this is thermal fuse and should measure a short?...Last edited by Welchs101; 04-11-2022, 04:35 PM.

Re: LED light flashing trying to fix LED driver board
Hi, i have not had time to work on this lately but i am planning ot work on this.
I did have a question concerning the flashing? Currently i have the pcb board removed from the led lights. instead of "reconnecting" and "swapping" drivers to see if the flashing follows the driver ......could i just connect each LED-strip to say a 9v battery? would this work? will this cause a problem/hurt the devices?

LED light flashing trying to fix LED driver board
Hi i have an LED garage light. It has two bulbs/strips of led lights in it. One of the bulbs is flashing. I dissassembled the light to get to the LED driver board.
i am enclosing pictures.
given that one works and the other does not (ie...flashing) i thought i should be able to fix this.....or at least determine what is wrong.
the led driver board basically had "two" drivers on the same board. I began probing using my multimeter trying to find differences between the two. Now there may be diff i did not find but one difference i did find was...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way
GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont ask me why but i got rid of the 9v battery setup and went to a 12V battery setup. I did this because of something someone mentioned in one of the replies to one of my questions.........anyway, when i do this............IT WORKS as my friend wanted.
When i connect the red to +12V and the black to ground.........if the antenna is not up it goes up ......if already up then does nothing. If antenna all the way up and i now take green wire and connect it to the red...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way
R_J, Read your comments....will read again to make sure i understand. Basically your saying relay oil needs positive voltage difference across it to energize it ......right.
What about all the other connections........how do i connect those to get the desired result....if you know.
thanks to all.

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way
ok so here is what i found out.
Antenna moving out/up:
Connect Red wire to positive lead of battery
Connect Black wire to negative lead of battery
As soon as this is done antenna begins to move out or up.
But touching green wire to either black or red does not seem to do anything.
Antenna moving in/down:
Connect Black wire to positive lead of battery
Connect Red wire to negative lead of battery
As soon as this is done antenna begins to...

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way
ok, i just realized something.........in an earlier post someone said something about just switching the black and red wires..........which i did.............i forgot to change them back to their original positions on the printed circuit board let me do this and then get backto you all.
sorry about that.

Re: Powering up a Car Antenna a "different" way
i swapped D2 and B2 (the wires to the terminals of the motor).
I swapped A1 and C1 on the printed circuit board.
I connected black wire to neg terminal
I connected red wire to postitive terminal
Results: Nothing happened. I touched green wire to both the black and red and notheirng happened...nothing moved.
So i swapped red and black on the battery.
I connected black wire to positive terminal
I connected red wire to negative terminal
Results:...
