Re: Panasonic Electrolytic cap guide, FM/FC spec
The FR series : http://industrial.panasonic.com/www-...EEUFR0J122B+WW
longer lifetime than FM series
the same low esr as FM series
up to about 1500uF in capacity it has lower ripple. Over 1500uF or the ones rated for 16v and up have about the same or better ripple.
They're also the same or smaller in diameter, but taller.. so they be good for when you can't fit FM due to diameter.
PS. The "real" product guide from Panasonic :
And the discontinued series with their replacements :
and a whole bunch of application notes (how they're made, theory, where to use them ( psu circuits, inverters) bla blah : http://industrial.panasonic.com/www-...BA0000_WW.htmlLast edited by mariushm; 04-30-2012, 06:36 PM.

Re: Panasonic Electrolytic cap guide, FM/FC spec
Too bad the real product guide does not give the ESR range for the FM/FC/FR series either which are what most people use them here..Never stop learning

Re: Panasonic Electrolytic cap guide, FM/FC spec
Well, I have about 10-15 different FM and FR capacitors here that are brand new and the ESR meter I ordered from RusMike should be here in a few days (probably in town already but tomorrow's national holiday so post offices are closed).
If there's interest I can do some measurements on what I have here.
