GFX card board: holes sealed with weird stuff

Firstly, sorry for my bad English.

I repaired a gfx card by replacing its capacitators. They were SMD ones (I think thats how they are called) and I replaced them with normal ones.
The problem is that in every pair of cap holes, one is sealed with some kind of metal which isnt tin, because it doesnt melt with the soldering iron.
So ,temporary, I had to solder the caps legs on the pad of the SMD ones, but that is a botched work.

How do I get rid of that stuff in the holes? Thanks

    They probably aren't holes.
Probably copper pads with a thin layer of solder from wave soldering the board.
