A bit expensive and bulky IMO. There are fake dual link cables about, but you only need a multimeter to see if the middle pins are connected or not. -

I buy 50 cables at a time check each one with a multimeter is to time consuming.

If you are buying new from a reputable source I don't see the need to test.
If time is at a premium then buy it. Seems expensive just to tell me if the cable is fake or not.Comment

Hi everyone,
I recently acquired this card from a seller who was selling a PowerMac G5 for parts. He mentioned that the video card was probably broken too.
Upon closer inspection, I can tell the reason why it won't work: it's missing a bunch of CAPS! (it's also missing an inductor - 1.0uH).
It's a nice card as it's one of the few AGP cards that will support 2560 x 1600 resolution on a PowerMac G5 using a 30" Cinema Display.
Looking at the card, it appears to be missing the following:
1x 1.0uH inductor - orange square

I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right spot, I don't have any question or anything specific to one board. I am *kinda* starting out with this kind of work. I have been IT in one role or another for my job the last 30 years, and I am familiar enough with basic board stuff generally speaking. So, I dunno for example if someone told me to find a uart header, or flash some generic tsop8 something, etc I understand that kind of stuff. Point being, I'm not 100% clueless. Hey guys, first let me say that this forum is awesome. I've already managed to fix 6 cards in a short amount of time with the info on here. The issue I'm having now, is I have a Sapphire nitro plus rx580 with a dual bios. The switch and the pads go ripped off the board, and I've had absolutely no luck following the trace(s). I've gone over all the schematics I could find, but none have the same component numbers. This has been driving me nuts!

Hi folks!
I have some kind of memory problem on Lenovo laptop. I was initially able to install windows after several tries since the laptop did freeze in middle of those attempts.
Eventually I discovered that it was related to moving the laptop.
Later on it even stopped booting unless I pressed around the memory slot. (no keyboard LEDs only power button responds)
If I remove the RAM I get the beeps that RAM is missing. Inserting the RAM there is silence and it will not boot most of the time. No picture.
I removed the board got one of those memory slot testers...
