A bit expensive and bulky IMO. There are fake dual link cables about, but you only need a multimeter to see if the middle pins are connected or not.

I buy 50 cables at a time check each one with a multimeter is to time consuming.

If you are buying new from a reputable source I don't see the need to test.
If time is at a premium then buy it. Seems expensive just to tell me if the cable is fake or not.

I am buying used cables for refurbished monitors that I sell trying to keep my
customers happy with a good product. :-)
