Stupid mistake recapping - I need your help

    Hello all.
I tried for first time to recap an old motherboard but i did a stupid mistake !
The motherboard had 7 G-Luxon 6.3v - 1000uF capacitors. 4-5 of them was obviously bad.
I decided to desolder them all first and then replace with TMZ of the same values.
But by mistake i desoldered also an 6.3v - 470 uF capacitor (same diameter-color but
    a little shorter ) !!! At the end i had 8 capacitors removed !
Now i don't know were the 470uF capacitor was.
The motherboard is a DFI NB32-SC (socket 478).

So, please, i need help from the experts.
Any idea were the 470uF capacitor was (2-7 place in the picture) ?

a 470uF 6.3v should have been tiny. Are you sure the 470uF wasn't a 16v? If it was indeed a 6.3v, up'ing the capacitance to 1000uF from 470uF really won't cause any ill affects. I did a quick search, and could not find any detailed/high-res pics of this board.

Thank you for your answer !
It is a 6.3v - 470uF and almost the same size with the 1000uF.

It is strange that i can't find a single image of this motherboard !
Search for NB32-SC or NB32 REV.B returns nothing.
Only some pictures of a similar motherboard with different heatsink and 2 capacitors between AGP and PCI slot (mine has only 1 ).
Must be a sample or something like that.

      Thanks again!

Use the 1000's and move on.
        wont hurt anything

          Thank you.
I used the 1000's. Tested and everything looks OK !

In most cases you can go up to the next value ( electrolytics have such a broad tolerance that it may be the same value in any case) with no problems. There are only problems with using them for time delays, and in such a case you will have problems anyway from tolerances.

Going to a higher voltage device the same so long as it physically fits in the same space.

The higher capacity will stress on-boot the current on the voltage regulators.
But for a motherboard which is designed to handle high loads I think that this detail is not that critical.
