This is what I use and it works pretty good, the $150 price tag was nice too.

Re: Desolderign Station for $400
those are actually around $500-600
but if I were to voice my opinion on which one, I would say the hakko. However let others chime in on this before you chooseCap Datasheet Depot: http://www.paullinebarger.net/DS/
^If you have datasheets not listed PM me

Re: Desolderign Station for $400
The 808 is good.
If you buy it from Amazon, click on that "6 new" or whatever, and see what sellers are there... get a seller with good reputation.
By default, i see a "ness electronics" with only 59 ratings, while there's a second seller with the same price "Test Equipment Depot" with 10k + sales.
There's also a US seller on eBay which huge sale history and he also sells a large selection of Hakko :

Test Equipment Depot also has an eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/TestEquipment...&_stpos=&gbr=1
That Circuit Specialist station is desoldering AND soldering ... two in one. The 808 is just desoldering. Looks like a great deal for the price, but someone may prefer the Hakko due to its reputation.
