Re: Desoldering station ZD 915 no indications, no heating
I have changed the Voltage regulator 78L05 and TL431A regulator but I still have the same problem.

Re: Desoldering station ZD 915 no indications, no heating
Exactly like that. The backlight is on and I have no indication. Not even when I turn it on.
The gun doesn't heat at all and when I press the button the pump is working.
As you can see in the pictures the desoldering station is as new.
I have used it about 20-30 times....

Desoldering station ZD 915 no indications, no heating
Hello all,
I tried to power on my desoldering station ZD915 today and altough the LCD has power and it's on I don't have any indications on the screen and the gun is not heating at all.
I open it up and I don't see any visual fault anywhere.
Does anyone has any clue what should I check?

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
Nothing, it just working for now. If I use it this way one day it will just stop working again for one-two days (sometimes more) and then starts working again...

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
I have it working now for over a week with no problem. Without changing anything.

I have changed all capacitors except the top one(the green) and the 400V capacitor

Scottle IR6000 problem
Hello all,
I have a scottle IR6000 which has a very strange problem.
The BGA station has 10 programs but only program no 5 works fine all other programs stop on step 1 whatever time or temperature I give.
In program no5 every step is working and it finish the program.
Does anyone else has this BGA station and similar problem/solution
Thanks in advanceLast edited by rippergr; 04-22-2017, 03:33 AM.

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
You mean with power on or witout?
How can I heat it locally? I have hot air station but I can heat it while it is on place because it will destroy the screen and if I remove it it will cool before I turn it on...

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
I was trying to turn it on those days and I couldn't . I left it with power for 3-4 hours and then it turned on.
I have 5 V on pins on/off and adj
and in all regulators 3.3V in middle pin and 5V in right pin.
Also the weird noise dissapeared as soon as the TV turned on.
It is as something is not charging correct and it has to get a lot of voltage before it can turn on.

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
I don't have freeze spray but I have compressed air wich freeze it but it doesnt turn on. Can I try and inject voltage to a regulator to see if it turns on?

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
The sound is always there when the TV cannot turn on. If I turn it on the sound disappears. The caps are all good, at least with eye inspection.
I did a reflow on the chip (it is bga) but still the same. I only have the red standby led but cannot power on the TV.

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
Ok. I put a 2.2K resistor on 12V and ON/OFF pin and I have backlight on the screen. I still hear the weird sound .
Do you have any idea what should I look in the main board?...

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
I've never done something like this before.
Can you tell me exactly where should I put the resistors?
I just put a resistor 2k in the 12V and on off pin and give power to TV?...

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
The TV is led not lcd so it has no backlight

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
OK. So I must put a resistor 470 to 1K on the ON/OFF pin?...

I didn't understand what should I do with a resistor. Can you give me a little more details....

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
I don't have esr meter. Can I check it whith some other way? I have a meter that you put different componenet and tells you what it is (resistor, capacitor, diode etc) which measures the capacitors but I don't now if the values are good (I only understand uF , it gives me some readings like esr but I dont know the "good"values)
I had changed 3-4 capacitors but I didn't see any change in the behaviour.
When the TV came it has the thermal fuse blewed and I changed that.

Re: IQ SMART TV 22" weird problem
edit: The top regulator has the voltages not the top one pin...
