    removing solder

this is not simple solder removing I'm talking about

I'm talking about removing ALL traces of solder on say a copper contact that wasn't supposed to have solder, see I accidentally split solder on a little copper contact, I wicked away the excess but there are still little traces of solder on it any Ideas on how to remove traces of solder? this is purely cosmetic and the item in question is still functional

      Braid with plenty of flux.
Move it around a little for kind of a sandpaper effect.
If need be buff it with dry braid [and optionally toothpaste] for the last traces.
